Hi, does anyone have kids in Marymount Convent? Do you know where does their coaches teach privately outside school? Thanks.

Can any parents advise which gyms/coaches for artistic gymnastics who have a good track record for producing winners at school and national competitions? My girl has been in a small private gym and she has shown potential, but her current gym is unable to provide adequate training for competitive gymnastics.

We returned to Singapore not long ago and her school does not offer gymnastics cca, so we really need help to point us to the right direction. We didnt know where to start so we just put her in a gym near our place. We don't know how to proceed from here and really need some insider info to help my girl.

I realise there is a governing body called Singapore Gymnastics, can I approach them for help with coaching? Any info or help will be greatly appreciated as we are really clueless about gymnastics in Singapore.

Hi, chanced upon this post and I’m in a somewhat similar situation - not sure where and how to proceed from here. Appreciate if any mummies can shed light.

Background: my girl was in level 3 in her previous gym but we left due to personal reasons. She then switched to this gym which apparently does not participate competitively outside it’s own gym but she has the potential for more. Her school does not offer gymnastics cca too. I saw from Singapore Gymnastics site that her current gym was not one of the clubs associated (the previous gym she was in was). Qn: how to allow more exposure for my girl in terms of competitions etc.? Do I need to sign up as member with Singapore Gymnastics and join a club under them to get started?

          Thank you everyone.

Although my children train at other gyms, I would say Prime has a good reputation in this industry. They are the biggest in terms of number of athletes registered with Singapore Gymnastics.

Hi, is it ok if my daughter does not join National Championship or NSG? She is not keen to take up this sport as Competitive CCA in Sec school. She just want to enjoy the sport. Thanks :xedfingers: :boogie: :boogie:

                    Hi Parents,

My girl is keen on rhythmic gymnastics and I know that there are many gyms out there. However, the schools with RG as DSA options are only the following four:

PLMGS, RGS, CHIJ TP & CHIJ SNGS.

Does anyone know which are the head coaches from the above 4 schools that also opened gym classes externally?

Since we are investing in external gym classes, might as well go with the gym where the head coach is.

I.e. I read from Releve gym website that the the founder is also the head coach with CHIJ St Nicks.

Am wondering if RG coaches at RGS and IJ Toa Payoh coach externally and where at?

Appreciate it if anyone can help shed some light, thank you!

PLMGS - Funyard, training in Bishan CC (Blk 512)
RGS - TJ Gym, training in Sengkang Sports Complex
CHIJ TP - TJ Gym, as above
CHIJ SNGS - Releve, training in Bukit Merah area

Every competitor is individual placed. Not necessary to go for where the head coach is. Ultimately, it’s being a winner that counts.. You can also consider KGA, Fly Once and Bianka Panova among many others.
