      Hello everyone,

Is there are any gym school that allow a child to acquire skillset for each grading (e.g. from Australian Syllabus) without going for competition? Looking at AG(Artistic Gymnastics)

      Many thanks in advance!

      Cheers

We followed a fixed set of routine set by Singapore Gymnastics (our national sport association). There are 2 paths which is the level(Recreational) and stage(Elite). They are graded during competitions which are National championship and Singapore Open. I have never heard of any overseas syllabus here.

          Hello gerzy123

          Many thanks for your reply!

May I clarify that during the local competitions (National Championship and Singapore Open), gymnasts are to compete based on a fixed set of routine as mandate by Singapore Gymnastics?

I had came across 2 gymnastics schools that appear to be using overseas syllabus, hence I had cite it in my example:
          1. Alpha Gym follows Australian Level System
          http://alphagymasia.com/gymstarsbigstars/
          http://alphagymasia.com/intermediate-adv/

          2. Bazgym follows Australian syllabus as well

Are there any gymnastics schools that allows acquiring of advanced gymnastics skill sets without the need to go competition?
Reason for asking - the recreation path offered by gymnastics schools I had came across seemed more of fun elements

Many thanks for your advise in advance!

          Cheers

My friend is ex Malaysia National team and ASEAN Schools RG gold medalist. She has been out of the industries for many years due to family commitment. Recently, she tell me she want to start a small gym class for kids 4-7 yrs on weekends. Reason 1 :She loves RG and like kids very much, Reason 2 : Her daughter currently 4yrs old has shown high interest in this area. She need a playgroup to get her girl started.

Do let me know if anyone keen to join her little group. Fees will be reasonable as it is for recreational only.
Her group started, she can be contacted at [email protected]

If enter via cca will be under the DSA (Sports) route. For RG, there are currently 4 schools who accepts under DSA namely RGS, SNGS, CHIJ TP and St Margaret's.

There is a new RG club open in the West.

This school prepares their girls to compete in all 3 stages. I think they should be good judging from the standard of their girls in competition.

DSA is meant for secondary school right? What about primary school? Any such route other than the usual phase 1 to 3 kind of admission?
