      Hi2mom:
      :

And if you are given choices as below, in which order would you choose for your child/children?:
      1. NUS
      2. RGS/RI
      3. HCI
      4. NJC
      5. ACS:
This is an impossible set of choices. How can a child who can go to RGS, also go to RI? Or to HCI? Or ACS? Unless mixed gender, ah?

hmmm... my daughter is exempted from mother tongue, so i guess that's why she hasn't get the letter about applying for 3rd mother tongue eventhough her psle aggregate score is above 250. 😒

she is taking chinese tuition twice a week at home, but her standard is only around primary 5. Do you suggest she apply for mother tongue when she enters sec school?...or not?

That's up to you as a parent and what your child wants to do, right? If I'm not mistaken, once MOE grants exemption, it's all the way to A-levels (or rather \"for life\"), right?

                vvwil:

Can anyone help to advise me which school is better :

                1) Cedar or
                2) Anderson Sec

Between these 2 schools, very difficult to decide. Thank you[/i]

                Hi vvwil,
I would go for cedar. Girls' school, less distraction. Moreover:
                Level Two Award
                ● SAA (Academic Value-added) (Special/Express)
                Level One Award
                ● AA (Academic Value-added) (Special/Express) - Gold

                whereas for Anderson:
                Level One Award
                ● AA (Academic Value-added) (Normal) - Bronze
                ● AA (Academic Value-added) (Special/Express) - Bronze

                Check your pm.

Cedar Girl has nicer uniform for sure

Had placed TKSS as 1st and Chung Cheng as 2nd choice… but in my heart still think if this is right choice or not since chung cheng has higher COP and my dd qualifies for both schools…

Seems like COP take precedence to banding.

TKSS will go thro if trend remains same. what is point in putting higher COP school as lower preference , unless you want to appeal to that school later on.

Appeal only works , if you put as first choice...

Why not TKGS? going by COP is not a good idea. Is is better to go by \"value added\". Comparing Chung Cheng, TKSS and TKGS; TKGS has the lowest COP, but TKGS manage to teach the children to Band 1. While CC take in children of higher result but only end up in Band 3.
