DSA 2011

Blur Dad:
Please do not think of it that way. There is at least 170-180 vacancies in RI for the GE boys. It cannot be all 170 - 180 of them are having average above 80%. Good luck and keep cool! Anyway, sometimes things are fated - what is yours is yours!
No lar. My DS scored below 80% for SA1. Slim chance to get CO from RI, but will encourage my DS to try his best. Even can get WL also slim chance to get in. How many will give up their offer after getting CO from RI? -
Blur Dad:
You mean your son scored 80.x%. I guess, I guess should be able to get CO. To my understanding, RI takes in about 175 GEPers (base on last year infromation) via DSA. Unless that are more then 175 GEPers boys scored higher more then 80% and higher then your DS. To what I know, as long as those who scored 80.00% and above, no need to go for GAT. They will group them together for interview and very, very high chance will get CO from RI. But again anything can happen, so please don't quote me.[/quote]Thanks for the information ... Don't worry - will not quote you. I'm just worried about his performance during the interview.

Yes, agreed with RSS. For those above 80%, \"interview is just a formality to see if you are sane, human, not autistics etc.\". Base on my knowledge, no Gepers above 80% for SA1 got rejected.
I have few friends DS who sorce above 80% for SA1 apply for RI DSA last year, during the interview, they just asked a few simple questions and all of them received CO. No one get rejected. So just relax and wait for the CO letter from RI and get ready to go Bibi Baba to buy the all white uniform....
What about those who border-line 80%? Above 80 but only borderline - my DS one of them. Will RI also treat them the way u mentioned - that is ask simlke questions during the interview? I'm quite worried till I heard most of DS' classmates had to go for GAT, n some had not even been called up for GAT yet.
Already stressed by his science which dropped drastically this year, thus bringing his overall % down. He never had any tuition - but now I realized he may need intensive revision since e school is not doing much. A bit off-topic, but anyone has good tutors or centers to recommend, pls PM me.
Thank you. -
Blur Dad:
Err why must go here to buy RI uniform ?vlim:
Hahaaaaaaa...RSS and Blur Dad both of u make my day :rotflmao: ....oki Twa Tau and others lets go Bibi BaBA!!!!!! :boogie:
So when you and DS are at BiBi BaBa, when they ask you which school uniform you want. You have to answer with \"head up\" and loudly say \"RAFFLES INSTITUTION\" ok. Then some customers will turn their head and look at you...haha. Feel Good Manz!!!
Just white shirt and white shorts/pants right ?

Need special cutting ? -
Can I ask parents whose kids applied for NJC, how long do you have to wait for the email on the test detail after sending them the cheque by post ?

Heard that they wait list about 70 because they expect 1/3 of co to choose hci, nush and acsi. Know of acsp ge boy first choice acsi and do ri dsa for back up. I am sure nyhp do the same with hci and there are some die hard nus h, so those on wl has reasonable chance, sound like I am consoling myself. Anyway prelim is coming. I better focus on it and park dsa aside.

Yes, I also knew some boys who are die hard fan of ASC. Three generations were from ASC(including mum from MGS and ACJC) and also some of their fathers are sitting on the board. How can they go to other school? -
