what lie ? let the school know you are applying for a few DSA. nothing to hide. no need to fool to school with only one DSA application. who is lying?

applying to a few schools does not necessarily mean must like one and dislike the rest, right ? nothing is absolute

you will have cases where the one you so liked but not successful in getting an offer from them, so you have to like another one, unless quit studying

is that the reason why people remain single unmarried because the one he / she is chasing after is married to someone else ?

      Wah verykiasu2010, Discussion is Getting \"Cheem\" ....
DSA Not Even Started, And Now We R Talking about ....
      Marriage? :slapshead: :slapshead:

not many schools will believe you if you tell them you only apply for one DSA, as most will apply for at least two, to have a choice
Actually got people so confident of their ability only apply to ONE school. But these ones are rare. And are very confident of their abilities.
My view: Do not ask/teach the kid to lie. What values are we teaching the kid if we say it is okay to lie during an interview. Be honest. Interviewers do value honesty and integrity. And if you don't like the school, why apply to begin with.

You are correct. There's nothing wrong in applying to a few schools and letting the schools know. The schools will ask anyway.

Impt thing is to apply for schools that the kids truly like and will not mind attending if they are offered DSA, in the event that they don't get into their first choice.
agreed with you.

the school prefers an honest answer - if you tell them you want to decide later from a few offers rather than eagerly telling them \"I will accept your offer\" - which they will see as being coached to sound enthusiastic

this kind of question has no wrong answer. just to see how the kid articulate him/herself. by the way, most of the time the interview is in small group, 3 to 5 pupils at one go, some group discussion with a few teachers, very informal atmosphere of \"getting to know you\" type

my DS classmate did just that - NUSH only, got the offer. though he was personally disappointed with the actual PSLE - not his ideal, but then anyway now happily ever after in NUSH

Bottom line is the kid has to be sincere when they answer such qn. And let the kid present their own crafted answer to the panel..

Yes. So if you apply only to schools you truly like, you can be completely honest in your answer right? πŸ˜„
