300 pages back in this thread, :yikes: which is for last year batch of DSA, it was mentioned that there was no interview for mainstream for RI, just written test only. From RI website this year, no mention of interview also for mainstream.

But last year on RI web site, it did not mentioned the \"Half Day Selection\" test.

Let see is there any interview for this year shortlisted applicants.

Hi, what do you mean by today is still not over? Do i still have a chance cause RI just emailed me and told me that the test are conducted on either 9th or 23rd of July

You are confusing everyone here. So, has RI emailed / not emailed you? If RI has emailed you on the selection test, then you have a chance. If RI has not emailed you, sit tight as so far no one has mentioned about receiving any emails from RI as yet.

Anyway, I think you should take this DSA just as an experience and not be too affected by the outcome, whatever it is. PSLE is still the ultimate goal!

Though there was no interview for main streamers, it is extremely difficult for these kids to get CO from RI. For RI DSA, 2nd round domain specific selection test is super tough. Like this year, in 2010, RI had set aside 2 days for the selection test. DS attended one of the days, I did a quick count, there were less than 60 kids, shortlisted for all 4 subject domains. If you take the law of average, this means that, over 2 days, about only 120 main streamers were shortlisted for 2nd round. Probably less than 10% out of those who took the GAT. Out of these 120 kids, very few main streamers eventually made it to RI via academic DSA.

No worries. Just check your email daily to see if there is any email from RI for the selection test. Don't worry too much about it. Concentrate on preparing for your PSLE. Whatever is the outcome, you still need a good PSLE result which is most important.

This is one test out of many you will be taking in your life. Look forward and prepare yourself well for the PSLE.

Thanks DVL for the sharing regarding the domain specific selection test. Did you son get a co in the end? I think 3hrs of test for 1 single subject is really long. I'm sure it is tough but would it be way beyond p6 level? The email from RGS also mentions that Critical & creative thinking will also be tested. Is it something similar to HAST?

Dd is going for the selection this sat. We're super curious now :lovesite:

Hi, this is based on what I know about RGS and does NOT apply to those doing DSA- Sports/Music Domains.

There are altogether 4 GAT dates - 20 June, 28 June, 5 Jul and 12 Jul.

GAT- the third round of GAT will be held on 5 Jul (Tue, tomorrow). Kids involved have already received notification. There will be one last round of GAT on 12 July (as deadline for RGS DSA is on 8 Jul).

Half day selection test - supposed to be held on either 9 July and 23 July. So far, it seems that only \"soda\" reported of her DD receiving confirmation to go for the selection test for RGS (English domain?).

Interviews - for those from GEP with more than 80% for SA1, some girls have already received emails inviting for interview on 5 Jul (Tue, tomorrow).
