Hi jtoh, DD is somewhat a perfectionist and she felt lousy as one of the girls was so much more eloquent and phrased her response so much better in the interview. DD felt much better when I highlighted that it is not an elimination exercise - doesn't mean that when one is in, the other 2 are out.
Well Said TREX8!
U Put it in such an Encouraging Way   -

Oh Dear! Hope She Cheer up later ....No problem Funx3, hope the GAT proceeded well for your DD. One of DD's friend who took yesterday's GAT broke down and cried in the car when her mummy picked her up. She didn't complete most of the questions ...
So heartache when I heard that...
My Gal's GAT test should be on next week's lot 12 Jul.
She Called her fren who went for yesterday's GAT test, and got feedback it's easy
Oh Well .... Just let nature take its own course ....
And :xedfingers: :xedfingers:

This is also interviewer-dependent. RGS runs 2-3 interview sessions at the same time, held at different venues and with different panel. So maybe you might meet an interview panel that likes to start in the middle?jtoh:

Sit in the Middle!

But If Start Middle, Very Confusing for the panel to record -le ....
Very easy to Go 1 2 3, or 3 2 1 ....
Panel very smart one.

I think this is quite common. Most of the students would not complete all the questions. 20 mins for 59 questions, about 20sec per question. Not easy.No problem Funx3, hope the GAT proceeded well for your DD. One of DD's friend who took yesterday's GAT broke down and cried in the car when her mummy picked her up. She didn't complete most of the questions ...

Big thanks from Me Too ....
Will Let my Gal Read about your gal's interview when she's back ....
Just take an example from last year. One student only completed 47 questions, still able to get a CO from RI. -

Hi Blur Dad,
is the other 2 girls in the interview room come from the some school as your DD?
- Nope, all 3 from different sch.
The interviewers ask the girls one by one the same questions? Or the interviewers ask a question and any of the 3 girls would answer the question?
DD said interviewer asked one question, each girl took turn to answer that question. Then interviewer asked next qn, and each girl took turn to answer the next question. DD said even the order of answering question is the same, from the girl seated on the left, to the middle, then the right.Blur Dad:
HI TREX8
Thank you for sharing. Did not see anyone share such information for a long time.
Just wonder, is the other 2 girls in the interview room come from the some school as your DD? The interviewers ask the girls one by one the same questions? Or the interviewers ask a question and any of the 3 girls would answer the question? Hope you would share.
Thank you
BD
Hi TREX8
Thank you again for sharing.
Not to worry, Your DS is GEPers with >80% for SA1, right?
Base on the number of GEP girls and the number of intake for RGS and NYGH. Most of them will be able to get a CO from either school. Not to worry, your DS stand a high chance to get CO from both schools.

Hi all,
Anyone know what is the % of mainstream students get co offer, waitlist and reject from ri dsa selection test(2nd round) every year ?
Ms Tay -
Am waiting for nus high test outcome. The 400 shortlisted for the camp are supposed to pay for the camp fees by July 19. So the results should be put soon. This year there is a 40% increase of pupils attending their dsa talks and open house. That should translate to 1.4x2000=2800 dsa applicants! At least! Time to prepare kids should they not be shortlisted. Thankfully ds doesnt check his email often so I should get info first.
