Thanks ngbrdad. Is there any advice beside the 80% average for P5 and P6 SA? Is the 80% average (base on individual subject or for all 4 subjects)?

      TIA

      Overall. not individual subject.
RI did not include SS, so RGS probalby will not include it as well.
Make sure you have a nice project/portfolio to talk about during the interview.
Nothing much you can prepare for the GAT.

      Hi ngbrdad,

Could you please advise me on how to put together the DSA Portfolio? :? I'll need some help there.
      TIA

        Hi bigpotato,

For GEP DSA, the most important thing is to score >80% for your P5 overall and P6 SA1. If you don’t, it’s alright. You just have to take the GAT test and do well before you’re called in for the interview.

For the portfolio, compile all your important certificates and awards into a folder. These could be academic certificates like math olympiads, commonwealth essay writing awards, UNSW, iVp awards etc. If you have any particular projects you’re particularly proud of, you might want to make a copy and insert into your portfolio as well. This is all for standby in case they ask for it during the interview. More often than not they will not ask to see your projects or portfolio.

Oh, yes, to anyone who can help, just wondering, other than all these kinds of certs and awards, do we have to do any sort of reflection or written work?

            TIA

Just curious, what do they ask at DSA during the interview? My son’s time there was no interview for both RI and ACSI.

Huh? O yes, these were the questions my DD was asked when she went for her DSA interview. Also ask why they should take you among all the great candidates they have, and also ask about your strength. My daughter said she was 'nice'. So funny. We had a good laugh.
I also complained to the principal about the teacher who asked this question - because my DD said she will choose another school. I found it unfair they should ask a child this question. They sent an apology and accepted her anyway. Do they still ask this question? So ridiculous, only my silly daughter will tell the truth and say she will choose another school.

(or they've been coached by their parents on how to handle the question). 😄

Think of DSA interviews as being similar to Job Interviews, and you'll soon imagine what kind of questions they'd ask. Surely about strengths/weaknesses, how you apply your strengths to your \"job\"(how you've managed challenges in your primary school life), have you applied for other jobs (other schools), why should we take you in for this job(for this school)....etc.
