i know of a few families that deliberately put one son in RI and the other son in HCI .... too bad I do not have another DS .....else do the same....best of both worlds :evil: :evil:

My son's P6 SA1 result <75%, took GAT on 8th July and will be attending RI interview on 18th. Dont think it's by alphabetical order either cos his name is S. No point speculating, for all we know, they just draw the names out of a hat... :lol:

For the presentation, he cant decide between ERP or IVP. He said he is not going to prepare a portfolio cos none of his classmates who have gone for interviews was asked to show it. Will try to persuade him to at least prepare a folder with his certs.

[/quote]Not advisable to \"forget to bring\" term reports. From past experience, they will ask for it. Or if they don't the other students going in for the interview will pass theirs to the panel and the panel will look expectantly at you. The school can always ask for it directly from your primary school if you don't give it to them and it'll look quite bad if they procure it themselves and realize why you \"forgot to bring.\"
Which one did your son do better in? IVP or ERP? You can bring both actually. Chances are they may not even ask about it.

My Ds's has 352 GEP boys, ie next year, they'll be applying for DSA. Wonder if the schools will increase the number of classes to take in the additional boys???? They're the dragon babies!!!!
The figures look about right. HCI + RI total about 250+. Total number of GEP boys about 330. So remainder of abt 70-80 boys in ACSI, NUSH, DHS, SJI...Blur Dad:
If all GEPers are in iSparks then the number is quite small compare to RI

Thanks jtoh for the advise. Dont think we will actually "forget to bring" (doesnt reflect very well on the child)…just wishful thinking.
DS was hoping for a later interview date to give him time to prepare his portfolio. His good friend who scored >80% for SA1 is going on 26th july. I would rather he goes earlier, get over and done with and have one less thing to worry.
Heard from his friend who went for HCI interview (DS did not apply, struggling with Chinese) that one of the questions in Chinese was to ask him his opinion of the education system in Singapore. DS asked : what is jiao yu? bang head…a good thing he didnt apply for HCI. Some questions are youth centered like what is your favorite computer games and do you have a facebook account. -

Called RI, term report = P5/P6 report card. no need to make additional copies if hard copies submitted earlier.

So not that kind of report that hexagon is so unwilling to let DS bring along? Just the P5 SA2 and P6 SA1 results.
