DSA 2011

Pen88n:
The other day met a pair of kiasu parents who were speaking to some other parents they knew. According to them, they have applied for 5-6 DSA schools for their DS :yikes: who is in mainstream as they want to see how to better his chances of getting a CO before PSLE. Moreover, they said by going thru' the process, they will learn better and able to help their other DS in P5 now  :faint:
I pity the poor kids. 5-6 DSA applications?!? Not only is it time-consuming, think of the drain on the poor kids' morale if he gets rejection after rejection. Of course if he gets all COs good for him. -
Pen88n:
A lot of stamina for the child and parents too - seems like the parents will wait at the school, in case the child can call them in-between tests, interviews, etc. so they are there to give moral support! According to their conversation with the other parent, they seems quite determined and sure that with the 5-6 applications, their kid will definitely get a CO and be relieved of some PSLE stress, and they will be able to \"refine\" their process better for DS#2. I really wonder if it works that way..... :scratchhead:
This is not a lottery - applying to more schools doesn't increase your chances of striking lottery. If you have the goods, you'll get your CO. I suppose they'll learn from this experience and refine it for their second sons.Lynn2:
5 to 6 schools? That is a lot of stamina needed from the child.
Hahaha :rotflmao: would be good for resume for applying scholarship
I really doubt all COs (not realy trying to pour cold water but speaking from practical point of view. No offence!). If they are so sure of their kid's ability, do they really need to apply for so many schools?

Where to find so many schools apply?
