That's happening more and more because of the kiasu mentality of parents, despite MOE's efforts at telling parents that your DSA selection is final. Until MOE and the schools actually put their foot down and refuse transfers, the practice will probably continue.

that is also because the schools involved are so willing to facilitate the transfer process in order to take in high scorers.

i am no longer an anti-transfer due to the above, what can I say ? 🤷 🤷

Yes, totally agreed. It was the school that spoil the market. Remember last year, in this forum there was a student called “Polar Bear”. His dream school was RI but DSA application was rejected. He was given CO from ASC(I) and he had accepted the offer. When PSLE result released, his score was 262 which is above the COP of RI. He tried to appeal to RI and was rejected although his PSLE score was 3 points above RI COP. Yet, another student who was in the situation as “Polar Bear” but his PSLE score was 268, his appeal was successful. So this is still very much depend on the PSLE score, the rules and policies are just a guideline, the school have all the reasons to reject or accept you if they want.

Just Received Email for RGS interview on coming thu 28 Jul.

Her other Gym Mate from another Sch also receive interview invitation on the Same Day.

In the Email, it is mentioned :

\"In order to allow your daughter to be comfortable and perform well in an interview, she will be in the company of two other applicants to be interviewed by a panel of 2 - 3 interviewers. The interview session will take about half an hour.

Please be assured that your daughter will be given equal opportunities to be heard by the interviewers. Please encourage her to respond to questions posed as sincerely and spontaneously as possible. There is no need for her to present any prepared speech.\"

Finally, the Last stage of DSA ....

May I ask if yours is non-gepper and had sat for half a day selection on 9 July?
                Thank-you.

                Hi Belle
My DD also sat for the selection test on 9 July. Like you I am waiting for the result of that. Do you know if anyone under the academic domain has received any reply yet?

They can even offer places to students below their COP if they wish. I hope they'll do away with this transfer business though.

another point often missed out by parents is that these IP IS (integrated programme, independent school) has 100% autonomy on their admission discretion, although the PSLE S1 posting is the benchmark, supplemented by DSA. if they so choose, like NUSH, they can opt out from the S1 posting system

I am aware some appeal cases for RI with 262 score - some got it some didn't

Thank you!!! Hope the rules continue to stay. To me, as long as Ds can get CO from any schools mentioned in the DSA thread (those few lah)...... I'll be very happy...... 😄
