Oh really, i didnt know NJC offered MEP. IMO, most of the schools that offer MEP are usually among the top schools and so i think results play a big part as well. If my boy cant get into DHS, his second choice would be ACS(I).
NJC has MEP, altho' it is not listed as a MOE MEP center. But it's music elective follows that of MOE's syllabus so the students can take Music at A-levels. My ds1's grades were around that range too, altho' DSA in NJC is not by any domain.planetex:
Oh cestmoi, that's good news!
My ds applied using Grade 8 piano but have not received any news yet
He is keen to do MEP but there are not that co-ed/boy schools that offer MEP.
His grades are usually in the 70+ to 80+ range....
*Sigh* -

Thks Funx3. I will email them directly then. My girl's P5 results wasn't that fantastic though she've done very well in P6 SA1. Her audition went on very well but my worry is her P5 results will ruin her chance of getting into NYGS. keeping fingers crossed.

Hi all,
I've been following this thread recently. Congrats to all whose DD got CO to NYHS. My DD applied for NYHS using special talent, Pi Pa. She went for the audition but so far there is no news from the NYHS yet. This is really testing our patience.
Anyone who applied RVHS got CO yet?
I Emailed to them on Monday and the sch rely to me within the Same Day, saying that they R in the Midst of Compiling the Data for DSA thru CCA - Chinese Dance and Will be informing shortlisted Candidates for Interview Next Week.
U May Wish to Email NYGH to Enquire on the Interview for Chinese Musical Instrument ....
How about RVHS? Anyone here applied? -

Planetex, if your boy can aim for DHS, there is no reason why he cannot get in NJC. Last year, DHS and NJC are having about the same COP. -

Can always try. NJC just sees how the child performs at the tests to shortlist. They dont look at grades or cca records prior to shortlisting for next round as DSA there is general- no domain. My elder boy's grades in pri was average 70+% , but also got confirmed offer. He's now in sec 2.
