If one (mainstream) was called up for interview, does it mean that she most likely can get in rgs/nygs as long as she can talk well? I m wondering are there failures at this stage?

Hi, not sure what is the failure rate for final round intvs but I know that at RGS, there will be girls eliminated at 3rd round, I think there was a mom last year who got really upset after her DD attended round 3 at RGS but got rejected.

Think there is No Guarantee that Getting Round 3 Interview = can get confirmation. Just that the Chances R Greater, that's ALL.

For Instance, for the interview my Gal attended for CCA, 8 gals R shortlisted. Am Very Sure that the Most the sch can offer CO for 4, or maybe less. And the Other Half will get rejection.

My friend's dd got WL last year and after PSLE went to NYGH. I heard at least fifty plus WL no. NYGH told them sould put NYGH on 1st choice if you want to go in. Very high chances for WL.

For dd applied to NYGH,

Just called NYGH, next week still on interview process, results should be come out from second week of Aug to end of Aug.

There was no waitlist 2 years ago. My friend called up to ask. Maybe they changed the policy last year with the new principal.

Besides other academic awards, she has also won individual sports events for her CCA in National Competitions. Perhaps for NYGH case, she has the SMBO award. Maybe thats why she has been called for interview....
