then may be the cut off point will be raised to create extra place to take in both WL#1 and WL#2....if the school has not kept some sparesPen88n:
For the DSA, there are CO and WL. Dependent on the # of COs, those on WL will be ranked and offered based on the vacanies left after the COs.
Assuming there is only 1 vacancy left for the DSA. WL ranked #1 scored 260 for PSLE and WL#2 scored 270, who will be offered the place? -
sunflowermom:
I believe it will be WL#1 based on WL ranking as DSA is not dependent and does not take into consideration PSLE T-score as long as they qualify for express.Pen88n:

They won't know the PSLE score of the DSA WL students right since it's not submitted to them.
schools need to submit name list to MOE for DSA offers made (CO & WL)sunflowermom:

I supposed you mean the school can reduce the PSLE in-take and in this manner, the COP will be higher due to a smaller intake?sunflowermom:

Hi scm292,
:congrats: All the best with the Day Activity & interview. :xedfingers:
Oh ya, forgot your DS already has a CO from NUSH. :boogie: -
Pen88n:
either way...independent school has full discretion ...if not mistaken, 2011 Sec 1 in RI has 452 students

Hi Tinkerbelle, no offense, was merely getting the feedbacks from colleagues whose DDs from RGS and NYGH, many complain that their DDs (from RGS) are very westernize and proud, not 乖。 where else those from NYGH are 听话bcos sch taught them to be 尊敬师长,孝顺父母。 NYGH also emphaise on chinese culture where RGS emphasize in academic.
Hi vanilla mum,
Just curious.....why do you have the impression that RGS girls are difficult to control? DD has a CO from RGS so would appreciate your input. Can PM me if you like  .....Tks.
I think it is not fair to 一棍子打翻一船人.
When my dd insisted to go RGS 2 years ago, I was also very worried that she will become very westernise. But now she is still the same dd I have 2 years ago, but more mature and more out-spoken. But never talk back or cannot be control.
However, some (not many) of her classmates are quite westernise but those are already like that before joining RGS. So I do not think is the school that caused the girls to be not乖 or very westernise. -

Hi sunflowermom,
Thanks for sharing your experience. It's reasurring to hear your DD hasn't changed much after 2 years in RGS. Similarly, I have concerns about DD being too westernise and too outspoken but RGS is DD's dream sch.
When I accompanied DD to RGS for her interview, I was most impressed with how helpful & polite the gals were. DD and I were lost and some gals came up to offer assistance. While waiting for DD, I was walking around and the students who walked past me greeted me...(and no, I don't look like a teacher...haha). At the end of the day, I guess it all boils down to the child's character.
