Aiya ... Early in that morning my ds has npfa running test also ....and HCI open house only until 1 pm ....vlim:
Both RI and HCI open house are on the same day ... Wonder is it ok not to attend the principals briefing as hard to arrange the timing ...
from experience, unless they have changed, HCI is done by a teacher i/c of corporate communication, lots of hard-sell, of course the P comes on for a while;
as for RI, the P does the main talking and do the Q&A too, with support from teachers.
How long is the talk from both school vk 2010? -

RI usually has two sessions at the auditorium
parents/students can choose the talk first then tour, or the other way round -

I am sure your DS is more than able
Thank you, VKS2010. Still keeping my fingers and toes crossed..... :nailbite:
That's why being at the right time, right place....is important.Pen88n:
Objections :? ...
luckily took a glimpse of it before they are gone....impressive and
really.
9 months of preparation - no wonder call VKS.....But again, he is well-prepared whilst I would be \"hugging buddha legs\" after SA1 to prepare for DSA application (that is if DS results permit!). I can only say I will make sure DS \"hug buddha legs\" with me. -

Kindly share what they did to hard-sell?
they ALWAYS say they have the most-est and the best-est....most number of scholars etc etc and once you passed through the door of the school and become scholar in the future and enter the admin service = YOU ARE MADE FOR LIFE (verbatim from the person who gave the talk, 2 years same person same talk). they way he talk very boastful lah.....verykiasu2010:

NOT denying they have scholars, and they ARE very GOOD in many areas.....just the \"hard sell\" part make people feel they are trying too hard to impress and compare and say \"look we are no less than .......\" make people feel that they feel insecure about their position amongst other IP schools. HCI is good and they can feel confident about themselves without sounding like \"broadcasting\" all the time....corporate comm need to revamp -

The DSA talk might be same as the one which they went round conducting the talk at your primary school. Last year, the same person actually conducted the talk at our school prior to the DSA date, therefore we skip the talk on the open house day.
