Just recvd rejection email from RGS.. Scratching our heads why DD is rejected...DD is a mainstreamer, top gal in a neighbourhood sch, scoring above 90% since P1, has UNSW High distinctions & other awards, won at least two individual trophies for National Competiton in sports since P4. During the last interview with RGS, DD felt she had done her best & her classmate who was in the same interview as her, witnessed the interviewers being visibly impressed with DD & she congrats her for her superb eloquence & quick thinking. DD as usual in her humble self dismissed the praises.

Luckily, we hv set our eyes with NYGH ( of which a CO has already been recvd :rahrah: ) way before & there was just no deep sense of disappointment but full of WHYs huh? :?

Dear Applicant,
Due to the technical error, the Interview Date given in the email notification sent to you on 12 August 2011 is not appropriate.
Kindly ignore our email sent on 12 August 2011 on Phase 2B- Interview Session.

Sorry to hear that your dd didn't get a CO from RGS. Your dd applied under academics right? It's hard to say why she didn't get the offer. Maybe her interview and GAT weren't ranked as highly as some of the other girls. In any case, your dd is set on going to NYGH and she's got a CO from them already. So that's fantastic.

:thankyou: jtoh..Yes, DD applied under academics & the results came as a surprise to us cos DD felt much more confident in her RGS interview (although she was almost being sabo by a foreigner) than her NYGH interview. Her classmate who was with her in the interview was all praise for her as she cld see the interviewers being impressed by her answers.

Whatever the case, in my pm to one of the forumners weeks ago, I did highlight that before we embarked on this DSA journey, we have prepared DD mentally with the layman saying that when u wake up the next morning, u may find a higher mountain than before! :rotflmao: & SHE DID! :rotflmao:

Go for the Shooting trial, then if she's selected can write in to ask permission to do 2 CCAs. Looks like your dd's got her days planned for RGS. :rahrah:

Actually the Coach ask her to join the Club if she gets in to RGS ....
Even took Down her Contact details during the open house ....

during the HCI open house, my ds played chinese chess with one of their chess club representative and he managed to win him after 45 mins of long game which caused us to miss the talk ..At the end my ds was told to leave down his contact number also..I thought they will call my ds but bo le...

But we Have Expected this as ....
We Heard their T Requirement .... Loud and Clear During the Audition ....
My Gal's Dance Skills Pass ....
But Her Height, Unfortunately Not, Apparently ....

Well like your Gal cestmoi, my Gal has set her eyes on RGS (She can continue to pursue her twin CCA interest in Gym and Dance concurrently), So No Disappointment Issue ....

But We Got No WHY's about it ....
She is Just Genetically Not Geared up for it ....

DS has gone for HCI interview long ago in early Jul. Like everyone else, waiting for HCI's reply now.

What is her Ans for, \"If You Receive CO from RGS and NYGH, What is your 1st Choice?\"[/quote]DD was asked in Chinese for this question. As the question was directed to her only, she had to speak & din hv time to sort out her thoughts. I remembered her telling me that though she was not very fluent, pausing to think in between but her answers was something like that : 乌鸦尚有反哺之义, 何况是人呢我重视他们的意见...(the rest in chinese abt thinking it through with parents)
