:gloomy: Aiyo...today is such a wet & gloomy day!

Just recvd rejection email from RGS.. Scratching our heads why DD is rejected...DD is a mainstreamer, top gal in a neighbourhood sch, scoring above 90% since P1, has UNSW High distinctions & other awards, won at least two individual trophies for National Competiton in sports since P4. During the last interview with RGS, DD felt she had done her best & her classmate who was in the same interview as her, witnessed the interviewers being visibly impressed with DD & she congrats her for her superb eloquence & quick thinking. DD as usual in her humble self dismissed the praises.

😄 Luckily, we hv set our eyes with NYGH ( of which a CO has already been recvd :rahrah: ) way before & there was just no deep sense of disappointment but full of WHYs huh? :?
          Hi cestmoi,
Sorry to hear about it. All is not lost...Your DD has a CO from NYGH
and with her impressive academic and CCA achievements, I'm sure she'll continue to excel in NYGH. :ugogirl:

Actually mainstreamers must perform extra hard and outstanging for the top ip schools' DSA process inorder to be offered CO.. So 3 cheers to the kids!!! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

Pleasantly surprised when DS called me and said he received a WL for RI.

Well at least it's better than rejection............
:congrats: ngbrdad......that's wonderful news!! Hopefully, it'll be a CO eventually. All the best to your DS. 😂

Thanks. My DS's just a WL, not CO from RI.

Frankly, DD was having a bout of bad flu when she sat for the final round in the GEP test during p3. If she had been in the pink of health & cld perform to her optimum, her DSA journey cld hv been mapped out differently. Though the family GP doc who has been seeing her since very young, pre-empted me that DD is gifted & to watch out for her... & when the crucial time came, I was like : what can I do, the flu bug likes her leh, keeping sticking on her! :rotflmao:)

YES, answers most definitely to ur post that the mainstreamers, DW & DH need to make plenty of mental preparations in this ardous DSA journey!

DD was asked in Chinese for this question. As the question was directed to her only, she had to speak & din hv time to sort out her thoughts. I remembered her telling me that though she was not very fluent, pausing to think in between but her answers was something like that : 乌鸦尚有反哺之义, 何况是人呢我重视他们的意见...(the rest in chinese abt thinking it through with parents)

Sry she koon liao, can't get exact answers at this moment...Hope that bit helps! 😄

wa....so chim! what it means huh 😉

I think she meant that she will respect and will take her parents' opinion into consideration when deciding on choice of sec sch.[/quote]Thanks Pen88n for helping me to explain the above! 🕺
