Congrats!! My son also just received the CO from ACSI. So relieved!! Will be meeting the new principal this Friday. Really eager to hear what directions he has for the school.
Is your sona GEPper and from ACS too??
So your ACS boy will Continue his Sec Sch Journey in ACSI ....
Yes he is a die-hard ACSian so I suppose it is a no-brainer. He thinks the IB will be more his cup of tea.
A LOt of ACSIAN are very loyal and usually prefer to conyinue their study in ACS school. Good Loyalty. -
A colleague told me that IB programme is a much more recognised programme (compared with A Levels) for uni in US. Anyone has more info to share on this?

Yes, I think it is true. One of my friends during her 2-year stay in states wanted to pick up a course but none recognized her Singapore certs. She had diploma from SP, n they told her that is not IB - they only recognize IB. But not sure what RI n HCI will do to help the graduates get into these overseas schools. -
Paddy Field:
No matter what still need to do SAT.Pen88n:
My son got Acs I , RI and nus(high). I am so proud of him. For me the dsa is over so now only left with PSLE. So happy today
:congrats: so which is the first choice?
Thanks. He is still changing his mind it used to be RI but after last week nushigh open house he changed his mind to nushigh. I tell him do psle and than can think about it
:congrats:
NUSH had done a good job in marketing their school. The Tea session last Sat; besides the talk, the \"showcase\" of the different subjects/department also a great marketing tool.
12 yr old boys n girls will be easily attracted by what they see there.
With 3 COs, he can decide in Oct which one he wants, by then he may have forgotten about the Tea session. -
Congratulations to parents who have received CO from ACSI. Personally, I like the IB programme and think that it suited my DD more. Unfortunately, ACSI takes in girls only in Year 5 and 6 …

I remembered during the talk NUSH's principal did say that most of their students also take some US College entrace exam apart from their diploma.

Not sure whether it's SAT or not. -

Hi Trex8,
Can girls join ACSI in Year 5 and still do their IB programme? -
Paddy Field:
I think NUSH encourage the students to take SAT; but hv forgotten where I read it from.
