I've heard of some CO from HCI mainstream, academic/maths. -
It’s another WL for DS so back to square one and he needs to work hard for PSLE. I checked around a few friends with kids from different schools and it seems that the 80 mark benchmark is adopted by HCI too.

Bighead, you got no choice but to put RI as first choice unless you are confirmed 100% to take HCI. if you have not put RI as first choice it may be difficult to appeal later IF NEED TO, you get what I mean? Last year RI reject some appeal even when tscore was 262 and is higher than cut off

For those with co, it is even more important that they do exceedingly well in PSLE to prove their ability and not to slack!
Now may be vlim and bighead should tel dr hon that the co should be given to other since the intention is to go RI! .....

Just that now you are really forced to make a choice. -
heard that WL in HCI is almost a CO. Previously they have WL1 and WL2. Is it the same this year? If so, those w WL can cast that big stone aside esp if HCI is your first choice.

The CO from HCI help to provide us the option to have a fall back. My choice will be as follows: 1. RI(WL) 2. HCI(CO)
This is what the whole DSA process offer, and I will make full advantage of it. It maybe disrespectful to HCI, but that's life. Will guide DS in this direction if RI is still his preference, but it will still be him who will make the final ranking of the choices. -

HCI is DS's choice and I agree with him as I feel that he is the \"cruising under the radar\" type and will probably be overwhelmed by the stars in RI. Since HCI is not approaching parents like NYGH to indicate their preference ahead of time, need to make sure PSLE is ok.
