Congrats to Firefly38, Twatau, vlim, Paddy field for getting CO to HCI. Looks like most GEPers who get CO from HCI also have CO from RI. Is there any that only get one from HCI?

For those who didn’t get the CO, don’t give up. 加油! 加油!
:thankyou: yukilei...next yr would be your turn 😉

          hi jtoh,

besides demonstrate exceptional ability over subjects like Maths - how about other subjects like Science, English or Chinese ?

are these 3 other subjects also considered, or the DSA panel of decision makers only interested in Maths ? Thanks for info.

Because for RI DSA academic domain is under specific subjects, hence the exceptional ability beyond peers is applicable for each subject domain

So it is a fallacy to assume that other than math will be easier to get in. It is misguided if any parent were to think so

After the science domain test ,my ds checked with his cousin ( now in sec 4)found out that the test was all about sec 3 to 4 syllabus ..

:thankyou: you will have the next one year for preparation. All the best to your DS next year, and being the pioneer for your DS batch, you will have accumulated enough by next year to be a Councillor.

              U have promoted :rahrah: :rahrah:
              Now u r a councillor.

              Ms Tay,

2 years ago, when my DS received the letter to GEP, I remember his ex-sch form teacher (whom actually discourage my DS to go into GEP) told me this. \"DSA is created for GEP students. This is because GEP focus on projects/portfolio from P4 to P6 (mid year). This group of students didn't really spend much time in preparing for PSLE. If there's no DSA, then they're at losing end.\" I'm not sure how true is this, but from this thread, it's seems like it's really not easy for mainstream students in this DSA process. As for GEPers, they do have to do well (to score >80%) in order to have \"smoother\" process. & it's also not easy to score > 80% in GEP.

What ever reason it is, I believe your DS will definitely do well in his PSLE. Cheer Up!!!!!

Maybe they ran out of original paper and will give you the original only when you put HCI as first choice.

Stats from GE department showed that PSLE scores for GEP has been dropping for last few years.
Last year the mean was just above 260 I think.
