DSA 2011

Funx3:
The logistics come in becos of all the \"ra-ra\" they have to put up - set up booths / events to showcase CCAs, and the number of students involved due to large crowd. If spread over a week, divide out the students into different groups to cater for each day, no need to set-up booths for CCAs showcase, but rather put up display....may be lesser work and we need not be subjected to so many \"marketing messages\".Pen88n:
Actually I have this idea  - does the school need to have just one open house day whereby they put up all the \"ra-ra\" to showcase their academic, CCAs, marketing talk, etc?? :scratchhead: Can it not be a case of an open house week, with assigned students and teachers to bring parents and kids around to see the actual school day, and displays of CCAs, small group (more personal) talks, etc?? Wouldn't that be a more realistic view of secondary school life??
Yeah Realistic from Our Point ....
But Logistic Nite-Mare for the Sch ....
Now they Do it in 1 Day, Some more on Sat (Non-Sch Day) ....
If 1 Wk, .... :faint: :faint:

Heard RGS will eventually move to somewhere near RJC. So may have new compound afterall......
NYGH has very impressive school compound. Only set-back is Bukit Timah area jam and flood may sometimes pose issues.
Both are gd gal's sch, so either will be a gd choice! With your DD's outstanding CCA, should be no prob! Gd luck!
Yeah Read about that in their thread ....
Potential Sch Area Large Compound, but So Far NO SEE any A&A There yet ....
So Even if my Gal is Accepted into the sch, May not be Enjoying the Large Open Space Available in the New Sch Location ....
Yeah, Hope My Gal can impressed them Enough to Receive CO for her DSA ....
Actually, My Gal Falls in Love with the Shooting CCA at RGS (After her First Ever Trial Attempt at Handling the air Pistol / Air Rifle ....)
Their Coach was commenting my Gal got very steady Hand and Invited her to join the Team if she's admitted to RGS ....
Well, Guess this Add some More Plus Points for RGS for my Gal ....
[/quote]Your dd will be in time for the shift to the new RGS campus.
So she'll have quite a few CCAs to look forward to when she joins. -
Funx3:
Haha! Yes, all the classrooms in RGS are air-conditioned. It helps a lot considering the hot and humid weather we've been having.
Additional-Additional Info to Add ....
My Gal Peeps into their Class Rooms ....

It's a pity it rained. Made it more difficult to get around to the various Open Houses.I can imagine traffic must've been bad.
Talk about Heavy Traffic .... :roll:Brenda10:
Due to the heavy traffic we reached RGS at 1 plus and perhaps we were tired at that time and we just stay about 15 minutes and went off.
We have Travel Round the Sch Vicinity 2 rounds and Park FAR far away beyond Ardmore Park Area ....
Ilegal Parking, Of Course!  But Every one is Doing the Same ....
Guess with the Heavy DownPour around Noon and Empty Stomach (No Tea, etc provided for Gal's Sch .... unlike our Lucky HCI, RI Daddies ....), U R Not Really in the Mood to Move Around as Well ....
