:congrats: soka on your DD's COs from NYGH & DHS. That's a nice 'problem' to have. Which sch does your DD prefer?
Wish you & DD all the best in making a decision. :rahrah:

DD prefer NYGH(Distance), Daddy prefer DHS ($)

If I were you I'll pick NYGH.
For Distance and also it being an all girls school.

Distance should be the choice. And respect your dd's choice too. Not like it's a \"poor\" choice.

EESIS is not enough, need to top up $$ plus $750 per year. DHS monthly school fee is $23. but if need to chauffeur, petrol is also not cheap.

In PSLE, every mark counts... With inflation here to stay, every $ counts. ๐Ÿ˜“

                    soka,
i had the same dilemma as u 2 yrs ago, having to decide on DHS or NYGH ??

since my gal had gotten the EESIS, school fees is not an issue (a small amt of top-up for upper sec)
but distance travelled, is a hassle of having to fetch her to and fro,
                    4 times a day, 22 x 4=88 times a month,
not forgetting the mad jam at the exit of PIE in the early morning and evening.....

in the end, my decision was to go with my gal's heart,
as she would be the one studying in the school and till date,
she enjoys every bits of it, loves her school, her friends and teachers there.......

below was what i had posted at DHS's thread after making the decision.
                    Augmum:
                    hi all

                    i've submitted the S1 form.........1st choice : DHS
                    2 nd choice : NYGH
these few days, while i was trying to convince myself to put DHS as 1st choice,
on the other hand, my gal was trying to please me (i know she's trying to please me) by saying, \" if u want NYGH, then NYGH lorr......\"
in the end, i go with her heart, by saying, \"Confirmed! DHS as 1 st choice\",
immediately i saw the gleam in her eyes.........
i hope to see the continunity gleams in the eyes, 6 yrs down......... ๐Ÿ˜„

Friend's DD is currently in NYGH...EESIS is just enough to cover her monthly fees of $200 (for Sec1 & Sec2 Singaporeans). She still needs to pay $750/annum for miscellaneous fees, and also need to pay for CCA & enrichment lessons (which is deducted from Edusave account). ๐Ÿ˜„
