Ruyu left bec a parent chided him? I thought he disappeared after DSA results came out. Everyone was wondering how he did but he never told us. -

I may be mistaken but I don't think there's competition between RA and non-RA. Some top students don't even bother to apply for RA.

From my DS1โs GEP batch, only 25% applied to RA.

Hi wormy, only 25% of your son's classmates applied to RA? I would have expected more. -
the actual % who will get to do will depend on the selection tests results and interview and also EOY results. I am also not too convinced about the benefits of doing RA. Sure got trade-off. Thereโs only 24 hours per day.

my apologies to phankao, if i have misunderstood her.. i wrote my comments based on, not one particular incident, but on many past similar posts by phankao.. maybe i do not know phankao as well as the other parents here do, hence i should have reserved my comments, sigh! :sad:
in this particular case, vlim was not complaining about our government giving scholarships to FTs' kids instead of sporeans' kids, she was merely putting herself in the shoes of other parents, whose kids have not gotten a CO, and empathised with them. even if vlim was complaining about the matter (but i know she was not), i do not see anything wrong with that. you mean we cannot express our displeasure about something, just becoz our kids already have COs from 'premier' schools? :?
another recent incident was when vlim joked by asking phankao if she saw stones flying her way (something like that) and phankao's reply was far from nice (her usual gep vs non-gep stuffs again). thot vlim was a little upset by phankao's reply? or i may be wrong? :oops:
anyway, hope phankao does not disappear (like 'ruyu' did last year) or else i will become the ็ฝชไบบ here.

My ignorant question - then what is this \"maintain your GEP status\" thing?? I got to learn about this when i attended this P6 talk for GEP parents organise by the school. The speaker is someone from MOE GEP dept. This was the first time i heard of \"GEP status\". Basically this lady said, \"the child can maintain his/her GEP status only if he fulfill the criteria\". One of the criteria is passing the SS.

Frankly speaking I am glad that firefly can feel my batok was on fire hahaaaaaaaaaa...
..so please don't blame her either .. ..and I do feel 'no good' with reply like 'no big deal'...
Nevertherless, we are all parents coming here to share and learn from one another and at time joke joke and poke poke(for fun)... else KSP will not be a warm and nice forum to visit anymore.. Sometime out of excitment or curiosity, we might express something tt might hurt others unintentionally. So hope I did not do tt to anyone out there else it would be my apologise..
We are all busy mummies and daddies, no time for serious argument here...so my stand to share and learn at KSP remains.. :love:
