      Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I shall give it a try and see the outcome since my DS is interested in DHS.

        Problem with RI is they have so many dates for GAT so posing a bit of problem.

        Can’t even be sure when to take leave to bring the kid there.
        At least NUSH only set one date.

          Guess it's because there are so many people applying. They say the earlier you submit your form, the earlier you'll be assigned your GAT date.

                if not mistaken they normally have more than a thousand applicants[/quote]Most of the popular top school has 1000 - 2000 applicants. Success rate for GEP is about 40-50% whilst for mainstreamers, it is much much lower.

                      $50 x 1000 applicants = $50,000, 2000 applicants = $100,000. That's really quite a substantial amount!

                        the tests like GAT cost money to run

                        last time they used CSI to run the GAT and students pay directly to CSI and the result was shared with the DSA schools the students applied too.

                        these days the DSA schools try to differentiate themselves from one another by running their own GAT test or its equivalent
