No it's not new. It's always been that once you accept a DSA CO you're not allowed to change it. It's just that the schools always entertained appeals and MOE looked the other way. It's this year that they're enforcing it.

yet to know if they are really enforcing it

the rule / restriction has always been repeated every year

No. This year MOE sent out an official letter to the schools in October stating it very clearly. You can see the directive clearly stated on some schools' websites. If MOE doesn't enforce it it shows that MOE has no bite.

I think primary's principals should have highlighted this ' no appeal after the the student accept an offer' to the students and parents ... Otherwise many would think that it would be like past years and now being caught by it ... :skeptical:

I heard the pri sch have emphasize to the kids that have DSA offer that accepting means no S1 posting and that this year no transfer. I remembered some friends told me so and their schs emphasized it. This has also been highlighted in ksp forum earlier during the DSA phase (so it shows it has been informed earlier). Obviously some parents choose to ignore thinking it will be like past years and appeal will go through. Now it is really going to bite if school / MOE enforces it.

Yes, there was a buzz about it on the forum so news had been disseminated by some schools.

You accept the DSA offer, you stick to your choice. Looks like they are really enforcing it.

I already kena long ago. After DSA cannot appeal, no use, wasted money.

Ya, true. But it would be a relief if you got lower than the school’s COP.

Hm... maybe and maybe not. If you are a sports/arts person, the school will take you if your score is lower than the COP and you have not accept DSA from another school. I understand that schools like RGS and RI still requires your t-score to be above a certain number (let's call this sports COP for simplicity) even if you are a top sports person. But if you have already gotten DSA, then even if your score is above this sports COP, you won't be entertained. This group of people kena the worst. :lightrod:
