As usual luck is usually not on my side....b4 the helper come, possibly 2 days and hopefully not more delay bcos of WP issue. Just when we are in need of help for spring cleaning for cny! Dun even noe wat went wrong, need to contact MOM to dbl check instead of believing agency's words. 🤷

I would say it all depends on \"luck\". Before my Myanmar maid, I had 3 Indo maids but did not work out. I gave up looking for Indo maid due to high agency fee. There is no guarantee that I can get a good maid.

I am glad I hired a Myanmar maid. She is very hardworking. She follows the timetable schedule to work. The only issue is language; her English level is very basic. I have to use the Burmese dictionary or her training book to communicate.

Pinky bear would you mind to share your timetable schedule pls? :thankyou:

          Hi

I would like to get rid of my current My maid who has been with my family since May 2012.

I would like to know what’s the usual procedure. Do I return her to the agency, or do I buy her an air ticket and send her off?

          need advice urgently. thank you.

my brother’s whole idea of getting a burmese maid is afraid she gets influenced by indonesian ones…but this wise idea of his is working against him. his maid is not able to understand what he/wife tells her even speaking very simple english. maid just doesn’t want to use her common sense.

really a headache. she just wants to get the housework done…chop chop, and then have the rest of the afternoon free.

We are so very 'lucky'....strike toto this time. My maid came for 6hrs nia say she wan to go back agent :stupid:

Ask her wat she is not happy she say no idea, cannot tell. After much coaxing she say she dun like to eat in kitchen, provide solution say ok but still wan go back. Give excuses like wan to hv a room herself, her bro wans to give her Hp (agree to no Hp), choose to sleep in living room?! Final drama now suspected of having heart problem cos found some 'medication' accidentally when checking her handbag. Though high chance it could be fake but not gonna take chance. After a long talk wif agent who initially try to disclaim any responsibility, will be bringing her to see a doc tmr paid by agency.

If not bcos of the proximity of CNY, would not hesitate to send her back immd. Hope can buy time to tide over the festive holiday & get a replacement soon. Cross fingers & toes meanwhile :xedfingers: 🙏

                Hi piyobaby,

6 hours and wants out ??? Incredible :slapshead:

CNY just 2 days away...hope she doesn't give you too much problems over the next few days...it's the BIG shut-down period for many companies.

My bro's maid cannot remember how to cook what she has learnt at mum's place over the 2 months +...but remembers the number to call home using those cards. My SIL has to do the cooking now...hire maid for what?

Yes Janet....that's how bad it could be, we are now half minded to keep her till CNY is over or send her back tonight, sack the agency & demand a full refund by hook or by crook! :stompfeet:

Too ridiculous to chut patterns merely after that few hours & can talked back bcos she wants out. Its juz simple chores she did so far & chop chop over & done with completion of chores, hv not even tried caring for my kids! :slapshead: Situations of such is so unfair for employers, oreadi transferred in our name & in MOM records its 1 change of maid regardless of how long she is wif us or its her own prob for wanting out!

Well, at least she lasted a few hours before she asked for a transfer.
I heard of a case: the employer fetched her from the agency. The moment the car approached the house, the maid asked for a transfer!!!

My case was bad enuff seriously, everyone I spoke to was totally surprised & shocked. What bothered mi most was I dun need a time bomb in the house esp wif 2 young kids & a recovering mum. :frustrated: not to mention having to lug a black face ard for CNY, spoil everyone's mood :gloomy:

In that case probably she chicken out by the sight of the house - how much chores in her care?! 😓

just reading your post really made me faint.
what is her reason for coming to singapore ???
housework includes cooking...even if she has to care for the kids, it's her responsibility like FTWM. There was once I called MOM in my master bedroom toilet to ask if the officer can expedite the approval of the new maid as the current one was causing me to jump off the cliff.
