Anyone has any feedback so far on today's EL papers, difficult, average, easy? My child finds it average, ... 😞

Apologize is spelled as apologise. We follow British english.

Oh, and it was pretty reasonable, I dare say easy, especially the comprehension cloze. And there was no direct to indirect speech yay

Easy? My DD said comprehension Cloze is tough....about bees. πŸ™

        the consensus is not difficult

For question 25, is it won or fetched?

They said Queen Elizabeth gave him an award for his invention. It was not a competition right? So shouldn't the answer be 'fetched' ?

            --DD of Sun_2010
I too gave the answer \"fetch\"

U will know in half an hour time πŸ™‚

I am curious about the spelling words in the editing section, cos every year there are tricky words such as \"mischievous\".

my son mentions \"nutrition\" and \"irritable\", couldn't spell the later 😞

the sch actually provided a list of commonly mis-spelled words for practice. But as i was revising with him yesterday, i discover other words that he can't spell, but may come in handy in SW, eg, inconvenience, apologize, etc. Lucky the SW today is informal writing.[/quote]I think the words were:
              Nutritious
              Irritable
              Ideally
              tendency
              (not in order)

My DS said the compre cloze did not have a sentence which looked like what you showed here? strange.
