\"She only got 265! Didn't get top in school! Walau eh! Other classmates all score better than her. Make me lose face in front of the other parents. Waste my money on her tuition. Go home she'll know!\"
Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Poor kid!Quintessential Mum:

that's right...exciting moment of this day, could see some every emotional scene such as
parents hugging their chidren tightly and smiling contendedly or
pupils consoling another pupil who was sobbing uncontrolledy.
one scene which has a deep impression in my mind
was a mummy angrily fished out her mobile and called her hubby
talking at the top of her voice, \" u know what your daughter has got???\"
she was so angry, wonder what she would do to her daughter next
Quite common scene.[/quote]sinoboy, are u a student or a parent,
if u're a student, hope yr parents are not one whom u have described.....
no joke....that gal t-score was indeed bad
-
octopusmum:
octopusmum, try VS as first choice but be prepared for not getting it as the T-score is botherline casewah, whole family turning up to show support!
i will just bring ds2 with me. DH too busy to take leave...the big day doesn't seem to bother him that much leh...
btw, will there be any open houses that day ? heard that HCI's open house is on that day....
must constantly remind myself to stay calm even if the results do not turn out to be what i expect....
btw, when we check the COP, do we look at the lower aggregate? take VS for eg, the aggregates of 2009 P6 pupils posted to 2010 sec 1 ranged from 245 to 271, 250 is the mean and 249 is the median. Assuming my DS gets 245 and he wants to go to VS, so should he put VS as the first choice and will he be able to get in?
thks
and also be prepared for an increase in COP for the 7 newly selected IP schools. -

aiyo, the more i m in this forum, the more i feel the anxiety!

i can understand............
-
Quintessential Mum:
yes....i think both mother and kid also felt bad
Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Poor kid!
the kid was nowhere to be seen -
Hi augmum
Tks for the explanation ! -
hey, just wanna ask, does the blue booklet given to p6 studentsโ score the accurate one? because i was wondering if i scored just around the bottemline of the score for express, and they standard increase, making the bottemline mark for express increase, will i go to the normal acad?

ttlkbs:
i don't know if i am too kiasu coz i already applied leave on 25th & 26th! Plan to bring my P1 girl together to receive DS's result.
Me too, bringing my k2 girl with me to receive result, at the same time showing her around in Jie Jie school as she has missed the P1 orientation last week which we were on holiday.. -
mummyjoyce:
Very sad indeed. I'm sure the child feels bad enough and needs all the support she can get from her mum.Last year, my DD's best freind called her mum to report the result; her mum just cut off the phone. She was disppointed as she scored 242 - her mum said DONT call her unless she scored 247 and above (this is the COP for St Nick).
So sad to have a mum like this. -
Augmum:
Parent.

What I described might be extreme but there are such people around and usually in 'top' classes in 'top' primary schools. PSLE results out soon, I won't be surprised to see this scenario happen this year. -
hi when is the latest date to submit the school selection for this yr?
