Hi everyone, am a very happy mum...my son got 266. The top in his school is 276 and he is fifth in the school. He was keeping his fingers crossed that he would be able to go to RI. Now, I think his dream will be fulfilled. He got 3A* and an A. Thanks to everyone on this Forum for being such a wealth of information.

My friends' son got 4A*, but his score is 263...May I know how PLSE do the calculation on students' score? I am quite confuse...

Dd got 238. I live in toa payoh. Which would be the 6 choices? Totally confused. Should i risk putting crescent as first choice or will it be wasted? Will COPs drop this time? If i want dd to get into CHIJ TOa Payoh should that be my first choice?(she is not from IJ primary) If 2 people with same score apply to IJ will the person who put CHIJ as first choice get preference over the other person who put it as second choice?

My dd also had 3A* and an A but score of 255 only. I believe it depends on whether the child had high A* and high A or low A with low A*. I believe my dd had a low A as her CL is her weakest subj - can get A very happy already

ok thks pecalis[/quote]just to clarify,according to the MOE 2011 Secondary Sch admission booklet, page 6 - \"Bonus Points for Admission to Special Assistance Plan (SAP) Schools-Pupils in the top 30% of the PSLE cohort who take Higher Chinese at the PSLE will be given bonus points foradmission to SAP schools ...\"

My analysis to estimate the average and stardard deviation based on feedback we got here :


T-score 282 (assuming that the raw score is 99 for every subject)
T-score 263 with 4A* (assuming that the raw score is 91 for every subject)

Based on the above assumptions, the "average" mean per subject is about 64 and the "average" standard deviation i.e. spread is about 17 marks.

Very surprised that the sd (spread) is so big.
