I believe the 7 jcs are:

ACJC, CJC, HCI, NJC, RI, TJC, VJC

      Reference:
      ACJC http://sites.acjc.edu.sg/wpress/?p=13679
      CJC http://www.cjc.edu.sg/admission/subject-combinations
      HCI/ RI (jtoh)
      NJC (Jeniffer)
      TJC (phtthp)
      VJC (skyed)

It's also interesting to note that the subject started in 12 jcs and then reduced to 7. Referring to the 2013 parliamentary reply.

Does anyone know if this subj is popular?
What is the % of A or B grade for A levels?
        Is it easy to score?
What must u be in good in order to do well - language or science or maths?

Sorry for asking so many questions but this subj is pretty new. Well, it's not offered during my times.
My KI friends said it is v easy to score at least a C at As, but getting the A is not easy. Comes down a lot to the IS. And the IS is really time consuming since it's writing a 2.5/3k (can't rmb) word report all on your own, with only 2/3 meetings to get feedback from your KI tutor.

KI is sort of like baby undergraduate philosophy. It deals with a lot of epistemology and also some formal logic(validity, soundness etc.). It might sound chim, but in fact its not too difficult. Most of these topics are covered in the first year of any undergrad philosophy class and in much more depth and detail in a more restricted time-frame. I think most students simply find KI strange as the questions posed are not questions that are asked on a daily basis, if they are ever asked at all. Unlike GP which tackles common societal issues, KI goes one level deeper.

Thanks! My daughter was asking me if I knew about KI, and I'll let her know this. Personally, I would prefer her to give this a miss and do another content subject instead. I think she will deal with this stuff better when she's older.

Hello. Does anybody know generally how well does the KI cohort do?

In the top schools, those taking KI do extremely well. For RI 2014 class, 80% scored A in KI; For HCI 2015 class, 70% scored distinction. Can't get more stats though.

By the way, my KI classmate asked me to put up an intro he wrote on KI. Hope it helps: https://inquirerdesilentio.blogspot.sg/

But do note that the students are those who have been screened and passed selection tests. You would expect them to do fairly well.

Yes, indeed. But I, and my friend as stated in the blog, wonder if KI A levels is similarly curved and there are definitely those who don’t do well.

                        slmkhoo,

Did your DC choose KI in the end? I am asking as my DD just got selected after the test and she is not sure if it is too difficult to score.
