I Can Read - Discussion

Mummy1012:
Can anyone let me know if this is too early to enrol my gal to I can read? Cox my friend was telling me that she kind of enrol her boy at 4 then completed the session at 6, is like for the whole of K2, he not doing anything.
My sis enrol her son at 3 in ICR-TCS. She doesn't know how to teach phonics and no time to teach so she sent her son to ICR. The Kovan branch is good. -
May I know how to be promoted to ICR program fr ICR-P ?

The icr teacher tat teaches the class will monitor each individual student progress. The teacher will allow the kid to take assessment If she or he thinks that the kid is ready to take assessment to progress to the next level.
If the kid passed this assessment, he or she can go to the next level.
My kids did not complete the whole ICR-P book before taking the assesment to go to next level, so i tink they need not complete the whole book.
But i tink at least must know first sound, middle sound, last sound and sound blending.
You can check with the teacher how is your kid progress and when she tink ur kid is really to take the assessment. -

Below are charges in sengkang branch to share with you.
Anyone have experiences in sk branch? How are the classes? Purely reading or fun reading with teachers? Will kids look forward to the classes? Fees are costly. Hope I make the right choice. Below are charges to share. -

I'm not sure about SK. But for Kovan ICR, they are pretty upfront with their payment as they attach the payment amount notice next to the brochure. I think that is a good initiative. Our fees are as follows:

I have heard about ICR is coming up with a new type of class that combine creative writing with speech and drama. That would be a pretty interesting type of class for all parents to look out for. Innovative and fun! Only cater to P3 to P6. A pity it is not for below P3. -
Any comments for teacher amando or teacher Matt at kovan branch?

Anyone have feedback about my English school at tampines? Am thinking of enrolling my little one there

Hi all,
I got a few questions.
I can read or British council?
And
Any feedback on I can read Bedok branch.
Thanks -
My daughter has attending class at one of the centre of ICR for about three months. And we have three class which was taught by substitute teacher (not from the centre and obviously is a local). I understand that sometimes teacher might get sick or have some emergency issue to take leave, but as customer, can we choose not to sit in for the substitute teacher’s lesson? and make up the lesson next time??
I feel that it’s a bit unfair for us to use the substitute teacher who is totally new to my kid. And i am sure the cost for hiring a substitute local teacher and a foreign teacher is different (not being discriminate against local teacher).
Any parents here have the same question??
