My son has a bald spot somewhere near the bottom of the back - towards the neck. It's not obvious when his hair is long. But when he just go for a hair cut, it's quite obvious. The barber suggested that we bring him for injection at NUH. Is there such a treatment? Which clinic at the hospital should he go?

Is it some kind of infection? I suggest go to National Skin Centre.

It's not scaly or itchy at all. But the patch doesn't have any hair growing out of it. Maybe will bring him to GP first.

He had seen many doctors and eventually got it treated at NSC with several injections ( very painful!!).

The funny thing is that the bald spot used to be in the middle of his head in the past. Then hair started growing and now it appeared at the lower back of his head nearer the neck area.

Was your friend's problem resolved after the injections?

Ya, it was resolved after a few (3?) painful injections.

I heard hair loss is due to blood not able to flow to the folicles? My husband takes propecia. Seems to work but hair thinning starts again when he stops.

Don’t know why some of these methods works only when you are consuming it but comes back when it stops. There is simply no cure at all.

You can only get Propecia from Doctor. It’s a prescribed drug. Only suitable for men. Have u guys counted the amount of hair you drop in a day including washing hair process? I think for me the whole day including washing my hair, I can drop about 30 strands. That’s bad if your hair is not growing bad as fast as you drop.

Hi. I am experiencing hair loss now. After reading this thread, I am thinking of trying pilfood shampoo. But there seems to have 6 types of pilfood shampoo (http://pilfood.com/prevent.html). While I am lossing hair, I also have oily scalp. So any advise on which pilfood shampoo is suitable? Thanks.
