Micro is an established brand where apart from the kids' scooter, they also have those for adults...there is a shop in Marina Square which carry their range of products...can even change the wheel colour and size...but only fouond out abt the shop after getting the micro scooter from ELC, with the knob handle...the MS shop has got the same model but horizontal bar handles...can explore the shop before deciding to get one...IMO, it is safer and more balanced to get those with 2 front wheels as compared to those at the back.Generally speaking, aluminium alloy has a higher strength to weight ratio, ie, for same strength, aluminium alloy is lighter. This is a very general statement. But you'll probably find that the lighter weight is touted at the shops. Lighter is seen as better. The really expensive ones are reinforced with carbon fibre, which is even lighter.
BTW, the board of the ELC one (the brand is called Micro) is plastic, so it can warp when the child gets heavier (I think the max stated is 50kg, but it warps before that). But I like the handlebar, which is a knob, so it's hard to twist sharply. -
anyone has the little tikes scooter?
i don’t find it good. -
i bought one princess scooter for my DD’s birthday… it’s fun for awhile… it’s 3 wheel type so safer… i bought the safety helmet for her, jst in case

for those whose kids have graduated to 2 wheels, may I know when did ur kid graduated to 2 wheels?
Cos am thinking of getting a 3 wheeler for my soon-to-be 5 yo DD. Then my friend told me her son who is just 5 managed to learn to scoot on 2 wheels and so getting a 3 wheeler might be redundant soon.
For those younger kids (around 5yo) on 2 wheels - what is a recommended brand? -

We got our Lil Girl ( then 3.9yrs ) her scooter last Christmas and she loves it ever since. At first she just pushed with one foot and the other foot on the scooter, but after my hubby showed her how to correctly ride it, she manage to do it on her own too ( after a few tries, of course
). It helps as well if the child sees how older kids do it, they pick up fast on that. Our Lil boy (now 2.6yrs) uses a 3 wheel scooter, and he gets the hang of using our Lil girls scooter when they are in a sharing mood. :rahrah:

thanks FCPkids, I saw someone from my mom's block using a Razor (pink!) and I think it looks great too! Which level of Taka is it (inside Taka SC or one of shops in ngee ann city?)? Sorry usually in a rush so no time to go through shop by shop.

Did a quick google, and Razor junior is a 3 wheel. The 2 wheels seems to be A series. Any idea exactly which model is urs (my 5 yo is petite so maybe a 'normal' 4 yo size :P).
Thanks so much! -
Hi Leo, we bought it inside taka sc. My daughter has a 2 wheeler... whoops... it's series A!
It's actually more for 5+ yrs kids but it worked for my daughter even if she was barely 4yrs then. It was the smallest one available at that time so we just had to get it... It was pink too so that alone made her ecstatic.

Cool! I will go and secretly get it one of these days. Thanks! -
I am looking for a scooter for my eight yo boy. Does anyone has any recommendation? Likelihood to be making my trip to taka to see see look look.
Thank you.
