Hi,
I would like to seek comments/recommendations for a good CCC for my 4.5yr old boy. Currently he attends a 3hrly Nursery class at a Church Kindy via schoool bus and travelling time per day is abt1hr 30mins. I am a working mother so weekends are spent on enrichments and activities, would say very little time for family bonding as I have another15mths old at home.
I would like to find a good CCC with enrichment incorporated so that our weekends are free up for other familiy activitives and myself to do housework(gave up the idea of maid).
I am staying in Toa Payoh Lor8 and as most of the times hubby and myself need to work late and my mum cannot help to fetch as health condition no good and with 2 kids outside cannot handle, so would preferably if the CCC has transport services. Does anyone has a good recommendation?
I know of the following around TPY
1) KInderland @ Safra (no schoolbus) / Music enrichment incorporated
2) NTUC (no schoolbus)
3) The little SchoolHouse (no schoolbus) / Enrichment lessons are on Sat and additional costs.
Does anyone has a good CCC recommendation or any comments on the schools above? Appreciate yr help in advance! -

Does anyone of you have favourable experiences with Singapore Montessori Kindergarten in Upper Thomson? Or any comments about this kindergarten?
I have my 2 kids there previously from nursery to K2 ( They are now in Nanyang going P3 and P5 next year) and do have good feedback on the school. It is more of a montessori with Singapore structured style. They are well versed with the primary syllabus and do prepare your kids well for P1. I will be sending my youngest there again for nursery next year
The place is a little old semi D, with only 1 air-con class, most of the classrom are open concept with well ventilated rooms. Good for kids who are sensitive to air-con.
hope this helps. -

Hi...I'm also interested in registering my 3yr old son to this school next year...but the vacancy is only left for the PM class....any lunch provided for this PM class as the timing is abit weird to have lunch too early(11am) or too late(2pm) at home.

Also, I understand there is a computer class every week. Is it inclusive within the school fees of $1020 per term or have to pay separately? What other enrichment class does it offer?

Hi, my daughter is going into K1 next year and am looking for the best childcare centre for her around the Bishan St. 11 area.
Checked MCYS’ list and shortlisted:
1. Teeny Tiny, Blk 140
2. United Montessori, Blk 114
3. Bishan East 3-in-1, Blk 181
My son will starting P1 and am sourcing for a After School Student Care Centre - very scarce indeed and some do not even teach the kids their homework. I am hoping that the After School Student Care Centre would be able to help my son with his homework and making sure he understands what was taught for the day at school BUT all centres reiterated that they do not provide tuition services.
I am confused and desperate, would appreciate advise and comments.
Best regards. -
Thank you for the elaborate explanation. I have a clearer picture now of the BASC.
But thinking about it, by the time my son finishes school at 1pm, gets out, gets picked up and sent to the centre, it would probably be 2pm. Then shower, lunch … may not be worthwhile after all if “serious education” not in place. Perhaps better, like you said to hire a private tutor and a babysitter at home.
What about my daughter, she will be 5, what do you think? Childcare centres in terms of education or better off with babysitter and private tutor at home?
Thank you again.
