Dear Maths Hub,

I wonder would there be any chance to start the P1 IQ Maths at the Redhill branch on a weekday evening? May I know would there be any early bird discount in which normally at how many percentage?
:?

Dear titank,

For 2013 Semester 1, P1 IQ Maths is set at Saturday 9am - 10.45am. Should there be more requests for weekday evenings, we will open it at another timeslot. Rest assured we will keep in view that you have requested for weekday evenings.

The early bird discount will be as follows:

Dear Sir,

I noticed the profile of the teachers some of them are not NIE trained. May I know the P1 IQ Maths is targetting more towards enrichment & exposure of Olympic Maths? It is not towards school syllabus?
Hi titank,

Our P1 IQ Maths Programme will introduce the basic mathematical concepts and skills required for problem solving in primary school via hands-on activities.

Our centres engage both graduates and non-graduates instructors who are passionate in Maths and nurturing children, especially those who excel in Olympiad Maths or major in Maths. They are all trained by our own centre. Hence, parents can be assured that our utmost effort in providing the best programmes to all our students will not be compromised within our means. They are also assigned to teach enrichment programmes in schools. Thus, they are familiar with the syllabus and techniques/methods used in school.

For more information, please visit http://www.mathshub.com.sg or http://www.mso.com.sg.
Any pre-requisites for joining the SMOPS Dec holiday training if child is P4 this year ?

Dear dagong99,

SMOPS Dec holiday training is targeted at P6 next year. As your child is P5 next year, he/she will be attending NMOS2. In order for your child to be able to cope in the Maths Olympiad classes, we highly recommend that your child scored 80 and above for his school exams.

For more information, please visit us at http://www.mathshub.com.sg or http://www.mso.com.sg.

Dear Maths Hub,

DS had taken NMOS this year with a Silver Award. He has no other Maths Olympiad training except those provided by the school and his score for GEP Maths is above 90%. One of his classmates who has been with Maths hub will be taking SMOPS training with Maths Hub next year. We are told it's possible to skip NMOS trainng. Wonder if we can join the Dec holiday SMOPS training & if there is any early bird discount ? We are looking at Bt Batok branch. Thanks.

If I pay via Internet, will I still get the 15% discount ?
Hi dagong99,

Congratulations on your sonโ€™s achievement in NMOS.

Students who are not P6 in 2013 may join the December Holiday SMOPS training, on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, it is because SMOPS usually has an age restriction of 12 years old and below. Some students might be overage when he/she reaches P6. Please call us at 6425 5448 for us to better understand your situation.

The 15% early bird discount is valid if you sign up for the full package of Semester 1 (Jan โ€“ Apr) and March Holiday Program and the payment must be made by 5 Dec 2012 by internet banking or cheque.

For the Dec Holiday programme, if payment is made from 07 to 15 November 2012, a discount of 5% for internet banking and 5% for cheque payment will be applicable. Fees must be paid in full course.

For more information about the discount, schedule and lesson plan, please visit http://www.mathshub.com.sg or http://www.mso.com.sg

Hi Maths hub

My son is p6 next yr. He has no formal MO training before but he is in AMEC so next yr they will engage external trainer. I am thinking of signing up with maths arena for smops training but not sure with just one term in 2013, is it possible to get gold or platinum?
Hi fanren,
It is possible, but not 100% guaranteed. We do have past records whereby students who join us for just one term were able to get gold or platinum. Factors like constant revision and actual day performance come into play as well. We strongly encourage him to join SMOPS training as early as possible (starting from December Holiday) so as to cover more topics tested in SMOPS.

Should you have more enquiries, please call Maths Arena at 6781 9325.
...just adding the rationale for the answer = \"a\"
..the sequence of letters is the first letter of the rank of a suite of cards:
king
queen
jack
ten
nine
eight
seven
six
five
four
three
two
ace

cheers.

The answer is \"a\" for ACE as explained by MathIzzzFun.

Our worksheets and questions are specially designed by our instructors based on past year questions. Our lessons are structured topically such that students can get familiar with the same type of questions and practise the solving methods to a proficient level. For past SMOPS papers, HCI has stopped publishing the questions from 2010 onwards. Currently, we only still have year 2007 booklets left for sale.

Should you have more enquiries on our lesson plan, please call Math Arena at 6781 9325.
