Yes, agreed with harini. Don't let this affect you. I just spoke to someone in NJC who happened to pick up the phone. She sounds friendly leh ...
Hi pinky88,harini:

You can call the MOE hotline : 68722220 & they will tell you the COP. I called up NJC this morning asking if I can appeal for my son if he did not choose the school at all & the lady staff there was very very unfriendly. :x She said she doesn't see any reason why i should appeal if NJC is not in the 6 choices at all. Worst, after hearing my son's agg. 257, she said the COP this year is above 257, bull shit. Simply asking you to give up. The school doesn't know the COP yet cos' when I called up Dunman High, the friendly staff told me they do not know the COP yet most probably in the afternoon. I will appeal for DHS instead.
Don't get upset with the admin staff, they may have had too many calls to deal with.
If your child wants to go to NJC and u feel its a great school, just appeal. For all you know ur child may get in both DHS and NJC - thats a nice problem to have :).
Good luck with ur appeal ...
Just get on with the appeal ... sometimes persistence will work ...
All the best yah, hope you post your news here ...
Cheers
Ya ... All Kiasu Parents are behind you. Don't let this upset your plan because of one unhelpful call. Go and appeal. -

Hi, anyone like me, appealing to schools which are not in the 6 choices. Pls. share.
I am not sure but I read someone post here that for appeal case, as long as you can convince the Principal why he/she should take in your kid, then you are in.
So, go prepared with your \"convincing\" reasons, commendation letter ... etc ... basically anything can help you ...
All the best to you in your appeal ...

Hey does any one know the COP for Nan Hua High School???
BTW,my DD actually got 240 for PSLE, but the sad thing was that she put Crescent as first choice but could not get in,although the COP for the school was 240.
Sigh... ... ... a very sad thing... ...
BTW, if we consider to appeal for Crescent Girls', when would we know whether she is posted to the school??? Would it be before school re-open, or after school re-open??? Hope sb can answer this question.... ...
Thanks

Cheers
Tks. We have actually appealed for HCI last week cos' at first in a dilemma whether to put my son in IP. After her tuition teacher shared with me about the IP (her DD attending NJC sec 1 this yr). I regretted not chooing IP schools for my son. Regret..regrets.. :x I will also appeal to DHS which is also not in our choice. Guess I am the only few parents so stupid not to have selected the schs carefully. My DS agg 257+2 & we chose VS as 1st choice. It's also a good sch but now I prefers my DS to take IP. Just pray hard they will not put us as last priority for not choosing their schools.

DS3 got into VS as expected and hope he gets into a better class. Called MOE to check . VS COP is 245 (down 2 points). DHS is 258 before bonus point. Geylang Methodist is 222 for non-Affiliated and 188 for Affiliated. Their NA is 191 (up few points) for non and 153 for A.
Congrats to all who get into your choice school and good luck for those who appeal. :congrats: :congrats: -
heard someone who got 254 or 256 got into DHS!!@!@#@#@
