Mathsparks, do you teach too? You are good at math? Can exchange pointers? -
Hi guys, Wow, the group has grown to seven strong. Thatโs nice!
aii.in.one, do you make sushi? I love that too! Love to eat more than I love to make it, that is. Whatโs your favourite one to make? -
all.in.one.,
wah, make sushi?! your family so lucky to enjoy \"mommy-made\" sushi. we used to go to sakae sushi for our Japanese meals fix, but after reading all the negative reviews on one of the Private Forum thread, told my family that we better switch places and go to Ichiban instead  -
schweppes, blobbi,
:thankyou: for the compliments!
Yeah loved sushi. Learned to make it during my girls kindy days from a
jap friend. Unfortunately, this is one of the few things that I can make with good standard, I am not a very good cook, though I wish I can do better.
I can make the maki and ?? don't know how to call the other two types.
One is like the rice ball using a mould with stuffing in the middle. The other is with beancurd skin with rice stuffing. Of course, the easiest is to
just have sushi rice in a bowl, only need to add seaweed and crabmeat or ham, jap cucumber. Mayonise is a must!
Favourite one to make is the maki. Beancurd skin prep is a challenge.
I also make the miso soup to go with the sushi.
I like to sit near the Ichiban counter to watch the \"si fu\" in action and learn some new tricks, whenever we dine there
-
hi all.in.one, i make sushi, temaki and maki too. Havent done so in recent years, coz quite troublesome. Usually end up with excess ingredients or insufficient rice. And because we like variety, I end up making too many different kinds too.
The kids would crowd round and stuff them in their mouths as soon as I'm done with each piece. I think the difficult part is getting the rice right. Have managed to tweak the amount of water/vinegar/rice to perfection.
So, perhaps one of these days..maybe at my CNY party. -
all.in.one:
Nah, I'm not a teacher. But I've tutored my girl A Maths and now H2 Maths. Ermm, what level maths are you referring to? I love to teach and regretted not becoming a REAL teacher.
Mathsparks, do you teach too? You are good at math? Can exchange pointers? -
 O, I am only referring to P1-P6 and lower Sec E Maths,
cos I had returned most of my A math to my sec teachers already.
What is H2 Math  -
H2 Maths is Maths done at A levels. Itโs a combination of pure maths and further maths. In the past, these were 2 maths subjects, but in the last couple of years, double maths are no longer taken at A levels.
