Heard from my friend on the first day of school, her daughter got dropped off at the void deck and the maid came down a little late. The gal ran all the way home and when she got home, the maid had just come down. The maid waited downstairs while the poor gal cried for 20 minutes.
 poor child.
maid sure kena  by your friend for being late. -

hahaha....mine in P6 still packs snacks form home to save time from queueing...and I just delivered lunch and came back here !
I did the same for my P3 gal as well. Pack snack and lunch. She has to stay back 3x a week and the food the canteen serves is just not healthy and little. She had been eating maggi noodles or chicken rice with just 4 thin slices of chicken with no cucumber till I started packing lunch for her. -

No la.............bus driver kena big time from my friend. How could he just dump the gal alone at the void deck? What if she got hit by a car? poor child.

May I know how do you normally pack the lunch? Do you use thermal lunch box? I tried a few times but the food just turned out cold. My gal also complains that the food served from the canteen is too little. -

That being the case, I use the ordinary tupperware.
Actually, if the canteen food is okay, child can always ask the vendor to give bigger portion and pay more for it. You will be surprised that the auntie will be more than glad to give to the kid ...... that is my son's experience when he decide to fancy certain food. His school managment is quite stringent about canteen selling only healthy food -

Was contemplating TPW too until I learnt in another forum about bento items in Daiso. Check out this post, featuring a local mum's effort:Better to pack something that is not so easily subject to temperature abuse, meaning it is okay to eat when not warm anymore.
