I can't remember if requirement for GP is a pass or a C...Any seniors with advice on whether to take a H3/what H3s to take?
I'm interested in a lot of subjects, but must be realistic also lah, some H3s are notoriously difficult (pharmaceutical chem, for example), and it's nice to get advice from seniors as to whether a H3 is a killer subject or not -

Thanks for the info....

More or less same as my gal's sch...
at least a B for the H2 subj, also need to do reasonably well for the rest of the subjs...
Except for gal's sch, at least an A for H2 Maths if one wanna to take up H3 Maths...
Do RJ pupils need Teachers' recommendations in order to be offered H3 ? Or so long their results qualify ? -
Would like to seek opinions as to "What are the career options if read Maths in Uni "??
( besides teaching , which she is not interested in)
That will help to decide whether to take up H3 Maths or not β¦ -

Depends on what she specialises in. Applied Maths and statistics type training can be useful in jobs requiring planning, optimisation. Some may go into actuarial studies (takes a lot more professional training though). I believe that many econs and financial organisations need people with strong Maths skills, as do number-crunching scientific research organisations. Perhaps you can ask her to look at career websites. Pure maths is more for research, I think.Would like to seek opinions as to \"What are the career options if read Maths in Uni \"??

Disclaimer - I may sound like I know about this, but it's 2nd-hand. I am not mathematical, but married someone who is! -
