My kids are all in primary sch now. Previously we had to pay about $400 for childcare (after subsidy) and $200 for the dinner at babysitter place. The baby we pay $600 to babysitter. Overall it is ex, but we prefer the arrangement as my babysitter is very flexible and we really hated the maid issues we had when no adult at home.

Morning Mummies..
Now boss going for his snack.. I sneak in.. :dancing:
Just saw.. more than half of the vacancies being take up..
Hope 2A1 won't be more..
Yesterday the MP came over house to house visit and ask if we have any feedback...
Then he mentioned next year, the school that I am going to enrol my ds in will be going single session next year, that's why the vacancies drop.. -

Hi celtricia , yes I did , more advise the better! Now struggling with 3 kids , wonder how to manage in future . My plan is to leave all with my mum and maid , although my mum keep pushing me to put my DD1 into childcare , I am a bit hesitant as now she is used to her friends and seems to enjoy her 3 hr dayschool. We like the school curriculum and plans to arrange schoolbus . We got a maid to help my mum out althu I think she drags taking care of babies again ! I can't imagine once I get back to work if she can handle all 3 . But with 3 kids , expense will be too high to just be a sahm. How do u guys handle ?
Hi LeeTaiTai, of coz.. It is in KSP where all of us get VALUABLE opinions and help..
Well the mum ting, is like mine situation too, though now all of my kids are in slightly older liao.. but of coz having own mum ard to supervise n watch the maid will be better den leaving ur kids alone at hm wif maid..
My mum stay juz a few blks away frm me, my kids cc is juz a blk away frm my hse.. today is the day my DD1 starts sch at PCF as she told me she prefer PCF den CC..
dun ask me y.. i also duno n she nvr been to tat sch b4, though we've walked pass, as it is also nxt blk only..
 Opps! Side track.. Well.. It is only recently tat my mum stop coming over to my plc so frequently.. she used to cook at my plc for me n my sis n dad.. all will makan at my plc.. but now.. nope.. due to some misunderstanding n her perception of me.. :heartbroken:
Well i've moved on, though now she does auto come to my plc, etc.. w/o me asking.. but ya.. i feel better not to burden them as later part, they might tink tat we want to trouble them, etc
Putting ur DD1 could b a good ting to start off wif, though I noe tat u worry she might not get use to it since she is v comfortable now at the daycare already.. :hugs: But well, at least she can learn to be more independant when at CC.. tatz wat happen to all my 3 kids..
As for ur maid, hw long has she been wif u.. Is she able to take care of ur bbs?
Sorry a bit long winded.. -

My 2 DDs has been in infantcare/childcare since young. After i switch to my current job, I placed them near me so the CC is right across my workplace. I can just head over if there's anything.Pen
We didn't want to trouble our parents too that is why we are considering childcare for our #1 , how much does childcare cost ? Also do you mind sharing how much you pay your baby sitter for the 2 kids ?
Cost is $960 for both after subsidy so works out to be $480 each. I used to engage a part time baby sitter when kiddos were placed at CC in Simei. She charged $30 for 2 hours with dinner included for both kids.
Weekend or Weekdays : Full Day was $35 for each kid (8 - 8pm) .. was quite ex and stopped after switching CC. -

:hugs: you also have mummy issue? Me too.. relationship with her went downhill after DD1 came into the picture.. I asked if she would like to take care of DD1 and she said ok and resigned like few months before i gave birth. when DD1 came out, she felt she is forced to take care of DD1 everyday.. so she bailed out after looking after for 3 months and i hunt for infant care. in my state , think exchange of words didn't go too well..(she used to be staying with me, thought I'm the only child so should take care of her right)LeeTaiTai:

we don't stay together anymore, think she is happier also. Me definitely, hard to live up to her standards unless i have maids and nannies ard me which I can't afford hahahaha -
Morning everyone! Hope everyone has a gd rest last nite.
my mum help me take care of DS since birth til N2 then we send him to cc. i also try my best not to trouble my mum over wkends. i guess itβs easier for me since i only have 1 kid. now if he gets sick, i will take leave instead of send him over. i will also enrol him in aft sch care nxt yr. well, my son also dun like to go over, prefer to stick to us. -
