Hi kitty cat, my dd said the same. So, she will come home first and go again a fewhrs later. No ppoint hanging around for a few hrs.

my daughter told me the same. A first meet the parents session with kids too! not a bad thing for the kids to be there so that we all understand and align our interests.

Thanks all…just wondering if my girl heard the wrong thing. Actually they should hold it in the afternoon now that cca hasn’t started so that the girls don’t hv to come back and go again.

Hi, does anyone know if the girls are encouraged to take up 2 CCAs? How does the CCA points work? If my girl does ballet or other activities like swimming or piano privately, will these be considered for points? TIA.

HI relax mum...no sure if your dh or you were there just now. So happy to hear that activity outside sch by external organisation can be considered for award of points pending the sch's approval. which cca is your dd taking up in sch and outside sch? dd is taking dance class outside ..... hope its programme can be approved...will have to check with the dance sch :xedfingers:

and we must consider cca carefully coz if u change halfway, cca points will be affected as cannot reach level 4.

I decided to go for the PTM today and had a chance to speak with Mdm Carol Soh tho she is not my DD’s FT. She seems really nice. I also see the Sec 1 girls are all pretty happy. Kids at that age have lots of opinions and already have opinions about the teachers! Based on my DD’s chats, the teachers who have a sense of humour seem to click much better with the girls.

The values and focus resonate with me. I am very happy my dd is there. My dd’s experience is that the older girls are very supportive and inclusive. This is very commendable.

Hi, I was there as hubby couldn't make it. my dd appealed so CCA already fixed and no
need to select. While I heard about the points for CCA, seems unclear how the compute the various levels. My dd takes ballet outside but this yr too late to join the class. What CCA is yr dd planning to choose?

yes...same here...i think no regrets putting my girl here. The principal/school has set some boundaries and they are very serious abt discipline. The girls seem to be very happy in the school. DD is also impressed by the senior girls. I hope they will continue to be good role models so that our girls, in turn, will grow and be role models to the future sec 1s. :imanangel:

Lesson also going on at a steady pace - they have been informed abt some tests. first math test b4 CNY!

I think the teacher in charge said if your dd stick on to the same CCA throughout the 4 years, she will reach level 4 (max points) for CCA. I don't know how many points level 4 translate to though.

My girl is thinking of drama, rhythmic gymnastics and art club. (1 from performing art, 1 from UG, 1 from Sports).

DD confirmed tests are on. 🙂 thanks kittycat01

I like regular tests to keep the girls on their toes and assess ttheir progress.
