Tell them there are plenty of tuition centers that want your business. If they are serious about improving your child’s grades, they wouldn’t be so demanding. I feel that they might be running Low on resources and are therefore more selective.
Ya practising what the learning lab used to do?
But this center is worst they forced you to attend Cci 12 hours lessons $547 B4 letting u attend the regular class. But this 12 hours classes spread across 4 days in 1 week so we cannot fetch the kid as it is during day time not even evening session
Because I cannot attend Cci they want me to purchase $247 A4 papers materials otherwise they do not let me reserve a slot for my kid in New term. Fine! I pay but now they demand for this trial class. I don't understand the logic it's not even entry test its based on that teacher personal assessment of my kid. -

Full time tutor is definitely better than a part timer. Some children get really stressed when it’s 1-1... so group would be better. Also depends on how close you are to the exams. The closer, the more attention the better.
There are many tuition centers or tutors out there who have different ways of teaching or helping your kids. I think in the end, it really depends on the environment your kid is suited for. Question to ask will be whether your kid is able to do well in a group environment, or requires individual attention. In my case, i have tried both and find that my kid gets less distracted in a 1-1 setting. Thus, the next thing for me to consider is the profile of tutor that I want for my kid. This will be tougher and need to try it out sometimes, and also to understand the tutor's strength or teaching technique. Personally i prefer full - time tutor who I find generally are more dedicated and less disruptive in changing or adjusting the tuition time for my kid. I hope this simple process will help you in finding your tutor as that is what I did for my current science tutor for my kid. -

Both centers equally bad... one is very open and demanding about it.. (you have to take a $600 course for 4 days, another $150 course for 2 days and a trial class before u can sign up for regular lessons???!!.) And the other was sneaky and made a lot of parents mad.. (now they are open about it after getting complains)
On my! I thot TLL was high handed forcing us to take holiday lessons. Pique Lab worst huh? :shock:Celyw\" post_id=\"1951901\" time=\"1575629641\" user_id=\"2810:

Yeap, do agree some children get really stressed in 1 to 1 setting. However, again it depends on the child as for some they may end up focusing more when just with the teacher/tutor rather than other students in the class who may distract them, and also the teacher/tutor will have his/her attention divided among so many students in group.henry245\" post_id=\"1956092\" time=\"1577603154\" user_id=\"182179:

Hi
Would like to ask if anyone has got experience in TLL intensive prep for P6 (which they run in Mar and Jun hol period). 2 sessions with each session being 3 hr 15 mins.
Is it beneficial - - materials wise and the lesson itself…?
Thanks. -

Money & time better spent elsewhere.

Agree! To add on this idea, I think it would help if the student attends FREE trial classes (some tuition schools offer this) so that they can have first-hand experience of the tuition school before getting/availing to tuition school services. There are also small group teaching like 4-10 students in a class. I think it also helps that students have a \"group\" while learning so they could share ideas.
