My DS was very fortunate to be under her tutelage since P5. My DS's P4 form teacher recommended to us when his results dipped in P5 SA1. He was not coping well with the transition from P4 to P5 then. He told us that the tutor and her team are experienced MOE teachers who are also PSLE markers for many years, they have written very good materials and are excellent at explaining the concepts. Besides, this particular lady tutor is very good at motivating and inspiring students. Everything he told us about her has turned out to be true. She has taught my son very well. He looked forward to his weekly lessons, and even initiated to join her English classes. What I also appreciate is the meticulous marking for compositions and Science open-ended questions. All the worksheets are neatly and carefully marked with feedback/ encouragement on the worksheets. It is very hard to find qualified teachers who not only teach well but have a heart for our children. This road to searching for the right tutor for my DS has been fraught with some very bad experiences with irresponsible/dishonest tutors. I've also paid for expensive tuition from a 'branded' tuition centre only to find out that the class tutor is a fresh graduate. Hope this helps! Julia
Hihi! has anyone received Julia's PM on contact details of the science tutor?
Can kindly share and PM me??
          Many thanks in advance!

My boy is currently under a private tutor and is improving a lot. He’s been with her for about 1 year now and his results has been improving steadily from borderline pass last year, he can score A now. She’s also teaching my siblings children and they have also been improving, really glad i found her.She teaches only science and i’m not sure whether she travels out far because me and my siblings all live in bukit panjang area.

She provides her own notes, worksheets and mindmaps and sometimes even do simple science experiments with my kid so he really loves her lesson. Science experiment really takes up a lot of time but he got better concept of the topic after the experiments.

CHILDREN ARE LIKE YOUNG SCIENTISTS. THEY ARE CURIOUS AND LOVE TO EXPLORE THE THINGS AROUND THEM. 🤷

HOW CAN WE HELP THEM TO DEVELOP THEIR INQUIRY MIND TO THE FULLEST?
                    SCIENCE IS ALL AROUND US.

AS PARENTS, YOU CAN START FROM EVERYTHING ACTIVITIES:

DISCUSS WITH THEM ABOUT SOLUBILITY WHEN MAKING MILK FOR THEM. LET THEM TRY STIRRING THE MILK POWDER IN WATER. TRY TO SUBSTITUTE MILK POWDER WITH SUGAR, SAND, STONES, ETC AND OBSERVE THE OUTCOME.

WHEN YOU ARE CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB, SHOW AND EXPLAIN TO THEM HOW ELECTRICITY WORKS.

NO TIME TO DO HANDS-ON EXPERIMENTS WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

DO NOT KNOW YOUR CHILDREN’S SCIENCE SYLLABUS WELL? :?:

WE CAN HELP YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN! :imcool:

WE CULTIVATE OUR STUDENTS’ INTEREST IN SCIENCE BY RELATING THEM TO THE WORLD AROUND THEM THROUGH HANDS-ON EXPERIMENTS ON WEEKLY BASIS. BESIDES THAT, WE EXPLAIN AND GUIDE THEM IN UNDERSTANDING THE OUTCOME AND APPLICATION TO DEVELOP THEIR CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND MASTER ANSWERING TECHNIQUES WITH CORRECT CONCEPTS AND KEYWORDS TO ACE THEIR SCIENCE.
