Finds this SCB gift appropriate for my mother-in-law.

Yes, UOB offers Golden Risis Monkey for fresh fund $108K, min 3mths holding period . The interest rate is not attractive if u go for it now... 1.5% pa till feb, after which was told the interest rate will drop. I did my math... not so good.

Don't think UOB's promotion is meant for the treasury and private banking customers only. Anyway, don't think it is a big deal.. Trade low interest for Free monkey ... For the $ difference, you can easily buy a golden monkey from Singapore Mint.

Today is SCB last day of 1.88% promotion... I hv managed to transfer my 2015 CNY fund from POSB, and put into SCB FD... 1.93% with free Barrel
