Elrek01:
I pass all H2 and H1 but you know is all those borderline passes...and i i took Add maths in O level even though is only a B3
Go take a look at unisim. Many courses in management, finance etc there. Just as goodpirated:
I just received my A level result and it is rather bad,i only got 58.5. I know i cantget into NUS, NTU and SMU, but is there a chance for me to enter SUTD and SIT?
It depends on how many H2 passes you have and whether you passed GP and any Add math in O level.
Many options also depend on what you want to do as a career going forward.
Not the end of the world.
If you really want to go through the local uni, okay to retake the A level - many people done that too. -
Iโve browsed the UniSim website and found something interesting but i am still pretty unsure about it. The tuition fees of UniSim is not by year but is by degree programme. The "all basic degreeโโ is roughly $33876 SGD per degree programme, thats like $11292 SGD a year(if take a 3 years programme) , which is similar to the annual fees of SMU. But here comes my doubt, if one spent 3 years in local uni such as NTU and SUTD all those, how many degree will the student get?
If its also 1 degree, then i think ill give UniSim a shot cause what i worried about study private u is the cost. QAQ -

The undergraduates in the local uni usually get ONE degree unless they are admitted into a double degrees program which usually takes 4 years or more.I've browsed the UniSim website and found something interesting but i am still pretty unsure about it. A boy I kn has a diff problem from yours. He did very well for his 4H2 and GP during promos last yr. But he just got his H1 Chinese result a few days ago and he scored a F9. He did HMT at sec 4 and he got a F9 for that as well.
All the very best in your appln. -
Hello, i did quite badly for As too. Was wondering if i theres hope for me to get into NUS/NTU/SMU? Im a 'hybrid' student and more comfortable with arts actually but might consider going to the 'engineering dumping ground' because i really need to get to a local uni
PW: A
MT: B
GP: B
Econs (H2): B
ELL (H2): D
Math (H2): D
Chem (H2): E
Research (H3): Merit
I heard merit for research is already quite good, although my sciences beg to differ. I have quite decent CCA records, student leader positions and stuff. Thankyou! -

Try FASS followed by engineering which require bridging as you do not have physics and math quite weak ?Hello, i did quite badly for As too. Maybe you should apply to all uni and at the same time re sit the exam. Just to play safe.

Question about applying to the local unis:
This is a broad question and not pertaining to any faculty in particular. How do local unis consider applications? Consider a first cut off via UAS first, followed by grades of relevant H2 subjects? How important is personal statement, testimonials and CCAs? -
Personal statement where required would rank higher than testimonial, to snare the interview.
CCA comes in when assessing scholarship application
