All About Right Brain Training
-
Hey gals
Each time she was blindfolded it was not only the cloth, they placed a sponge over each eye n still cover over with a long thin cloth, I tried it n a I saw was total darkness, I saw her perform 2x n after the 2nd demo I asked her what did she used to see ( 5 year old girl )? The first time she said her 3rd eye, when I pressed on she said her brain… Funny thing is she can only see when there’s lighting n when the room lights are off she can’t see… Hmm…
Tell me should I bring my child?? What good do u see in this?? My hubby had been pressing me to go -
hunnybunny, i personally dun buy the idea le… why must blind fold until like that… just use the telepathy ways to test the kids can liao what… just my personal opinion la.

concern2- can you cite that videos footage for easy reference? Or any blogs stated the same ? I thought this is a feasible method, the only way to acquire the photographic skill is thru constant practice.
I have not bookmarked the links, but I remember googling for them under 'blindfold reading' or some sort. Does it require regular practice? According to the video, some kids are able to do it after the first lesson. -
Hi concern2
after 1 lesson will do, rm$680, s$5000, go home must pratice. -
If only one lesson, why need to pay so much? :? :moneyflies: :moneyflies:

Hi,
Hi EASON MAGPIES,EASON MAGPIES:
I came to this forum and did some research when my DD was about 6 months old. I also went to little genius for preview and shichida too. I also feel shichida staff are very arrogant. They don't seem interested in having you at all. Perhaps they know they have long Q waiting. Little genius was very friendly but I was not impressed with the curriculum. In the end I put my child at Little Neuro Tree at Jurong East. Now they have changed their name. They do linking memory, flash cards and singing songs. My DD enjoyed it and we have just started the 3rd term. So we still unsure of the results.
With so much good claims about shichida, I am now thinking if I should put my DD there again. I mean if they are good and improve my DD, I should not allow their bad attitude to stop me.
We only show her you tube flash card at home. Seldom do actual flashing with her. I try to read to her every night but she always come snatch the book when I am half way through as she likes to play with books herself. Now I read to her when she drinking her night snack. Only time she can stay still.
She is now about 19 months old.
Thank you for your sharing.
What name did the LNT at JE changed to? I understand Happy Train was previously LNT as well.
Many parents are boycotting Shichida because of their bad customer service but really, how often do we have to face the front desk? To me, what is most important is the teacher and effectiveness of the program.
My ds1 was with SM for 5 terms and we did not have any issue except of course, the high turnover rate of their sinsei. I heard this is still the case.
SM would still be my choice for ds3 if they have a branch nearer to my place.
I had been attending My Little Genius(MLG) in Hougang for the past 2 terms (not to be confused with little genius, it is 2 different schools!!!). I understand from the owner that it was LNT before they changed to My Little Genius since the start of the year. They presently have 2 outlets one in hougang and one in jurong.
My elder child was also with SM for quite a while and I stopped it due to their arrogrance. I don't want my child to be in this kind of environment. I think it is not inline at all with the teaching of Prof Schichida. Anyway, my second child who is 2 years old is with MLG since this April. Had posted in May in this tread about my initial experiences in MLG. Well, it has been almost 5 months and I am very happy with MLG and the progress shown by my little one especially in terms of memory and language ability (both mandarian and english). Something additional is that they have very friend staff and I had spoken to one of their owner who is very friendly and can see that they really care for the kids. That to me is the most important.
Anyway, for those who are interested in My Little Genius program, they have a open house this weekend 27, 28 Aug. Can check out http://www.mylittlegenius.com.sg/what%E2%80%99s-new/promotions
for more details.
Cheers! -
I too like the staff and teachers at MLG. Though mine is at Jurong East so it seems it is quite standardised!
