$1.6k per table? Could it be the mother inflate the price? it certainly cost a lot!

From what I can from the link provided, it seem max is $1.2k only. Plus they booked it last yr I believe the price is even lower.

I find this link useful. You can refer to it for the latest wedding banquet table price list. Yes, it's possible to be $1.6K per table if it's a sat nite dinner at 5 star hotel.

            mummyJune:
ya my DH is very stingy. is not per person $60, he said whole family $60. siao right! i so angry, quarrel with him. anywae, its really not nice to give so little since we are relatives & will meet during festive seasons etc.

just now my mum said for my relative wedding dinner, per table is $1.6k, den if i give $200 for whole family, is it ok?
Personally, I feel that if the couple chooses to host expensive wedding banquets, guests are not obliged to give ang pao adequate enuf for them to cover the costs.

BUT.... to give $60 for the whole family of 4 is really way too little, it's $15 per pax. Errrr.... even 10 years ago, you can't have a table that cost $150. Maybe u can find some excuse to say that your kids need to sleep early, so it will just be you, one person attending the dinner and I think $100 per pax is a more reasonable amount

$15 per pax is way too little. Just imagine if you are eating there as an individual diner at the restaurant/hotel, how much do you pay?

Wedding dinner by today’s standard, as far as i know, minimum $120. I suppose $100 should still be acceptable.
