Proud to say he had gone/is going for the final interview round of all 5 schools he applied for.

Not sure how to define impressive, his portfolio includes oil painting, 3D artwork, many many sketches. I spoke to the HOD Art of 2 of the schools after the audition, they both said my son's techical drawing skills are very good for his age.

1 school asked him to sketch a close up of an eye plus one free play using his imagination. Plus some short essays.

NJC gave the students a blank paper with a doodle and asked the kids to fill up the paper with their imagination. Heard from DS he also need to write an essay. NJC had not seen his art portfolio yet, which he need to bring for hiz interview on 1 Aug.

One thing I noticed the number of boys is about 10 while there are maybe 100 girls for the NJC Arts? Maybe if the school wants to balance the B/G ratio, all the boys might have got in to the interview round. Maybe, just my thoughts.

Interesting... also if you don't mind sharing, is your DS's average school results above 80/85%? Wondering if the school takes into account school results in the selection...

First time posting here. Just wondering if anyone knows the format for SJI IP interview for leadership.

My DS going for SJI interview next week for arts, though different domain but I think interview process is the same.

Email from SJI says he would be required to write paragraphs/essays of the topic of the day, followed by interview with 2/3 member panel. Quite stressful for kids who had experienced it before.

I think my DS can handle it. In another school interview he went, it was a 6 boys group interview, but a panel of 7/8 with principal and all various HOD!

He got A for all subjects but average just below 80

Ok great to know that they do indeed look at talent for NJC DSA All the best!
