Hi Esteema,Estéema:
So even if sch A is NUSH WL, sch B is RI CO. RI CO will not be lost if we place it second choice ??Really want to know. Thank you!
Yes. RI will still be in your hands, whilst your other hand tries to chope NUSH WL (in case u're next. in queue when others release CO.
Anyway, u got WL for NUSH? I hardly hear of WL for NUSH. Well done!
Thanks! we didn't expect RI CO at all, it's really great but this has also given us massive headache n super heated discussions. By now DS is super confused by family members taking different sides of the 2 schools. He really need some time to think through which sch is best for his growth n interests for the next 6 years. His sch, his choice ultimately
Just thought I share our experience with you. My DS had the dilemma of choosing between the same 2 schools. Ultimately I told him to decide which will suit his style of learning....sit for A levels (1 exam) at the end or consistent hard work that makes up your final grade. He's more the latter. No regrets. He's actually very thankful he picked NUSH especially when the boys compare their experiences over the last few years. Also with the smaller intake size at NUSH there are many opportunities for the students. It is very challenging but he enjoys every day at school.
All the best in your decision making process! -

Not unfair bcoz WL depends whether after all CO accepted anyone release. If no places released or few places offered to WL in queue and u are down the line, no chance to convert WL. But yr CO remains. You cannot participate in S1 posting thereafter once u exercised yr Options Form.
You might want to check this again with the school. According to the CO letter I've received, the place is only confirmed if my child ranks it as first choice in the option form.
Did the letter states \"first choice: or did it say \"school of choice?\" If the latter, as long as it is indicated in the option form, it is one of the choice schools.
I would think the MOE policy should be uniform for all schools? -
Good morning.
Today is the day for DHS applicants -
Hi I know this is the time when everyone is discussing CO and WL. But I would like to ask some questions when the memory is still fresh. Can any parent with a CO for RGS through the science domain share more? Like DD’s science and over all marks, any medals and the interview questions? Is it true the interview questions are closely related to the domain you choose? My DD is p5 this year. Cannot help but get nervous looking at the forum and one year will just fly past. Can pm me also. Thanks so much !

Would like to check if NYGH will send out email for CO, WL or rejection? Or have to wait for the update on the portal? Is there anyone who is still waiting for update? Thanks

For the case of DSA by CCA, teacher called, followed by email. CO/WL letter was handed out yesterday at the briefing in school. Principal said that WL for CCA is almost guaranteed.
My DD's friend received NYGH CO for bilingual yesterday. May be the school is still releasing news by batch. -
Thanks for the update typoerror. Is the briefing held yesterday only for CO/WL for CCA? Any idea will there be a briefing for CO/WL of STEM?
Hopefully the school is releasing the news by batches and DD’s one will come soon. -
First Congratulations to you for 2 good results in DSA!
I can understand your confusion now. As ri co letter stated and highlighted \"provided that he indicates Raffles Institution as his top preference\", different from what moe stated on website. I also first time see this, so no idea at all. Better call ri to clarify. It's a pity to miss it just because of putting at 2nd.
Also consider university when choosing secondary school. If your son prefers USA universities, nush has ap programme, not sure about ri. -

Yes, the briefing was for CCA only. Not sure for STEM. Wish you luck! Thanks for the update typoerror. Is the briefing held yesterday only for CO/WL for CCA? Any idea will there be a briefing for CO/WL of STEM?

Thanks typoerror. Congratulations on your DD’s CO too!
