dont think there will be any release of results this week unless they do it tmrw evening cos most if not all PSLE kids have prelim next week. next week thursday / friday would probably be the earliest we get the results…

Agree. If succesful the kid will be happy. If unsuccessful, could affect mood for PSLE Oral.
Just to alert those who had been awaiting anxiously (& patiently) for ACSI's DSA results will likely to either receive a call next week if successful (both academically & Sports). If applicants did not receive any calls, all rejection letters will go out after Prelims.

ACSI academic provides very limited places & they had received overwhelming applications. Only 48 Express places & 82 IP vacancies for >1000 applicants.

All the best & hope your D.C. will be rewarded for your patience. Meantime, work hard at Prelims & the coming PSLE. PSLE Orals starts tomorrow.

                ACSI website indicates :-

\"Successful applicants will be contacted via telephone from the 3rd week of August 2017. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email by 31 August 2017.

Parents, do note that the number of vacancies available through the DSA exercise is limited. In view of the large number of applicants received, it is advisable that you support and counsel your child to manage his expectations regarding the DSA outcome.\"

The 48 and 82 places mentioned are inclusive of dsa sports? Thanks!

TOTAL offered by ACSI. Guess internally they'll adjust base on competencies.
I think for this year, more or less the same for IP school. If according to some parent's info here, MOE's advised schools to adjust DSA intake to about 30-35%, then RGS will only take in 120-140(estimated) DSA students in total, out of over 1000 applicants. DHS open house principal also mentioned about 120 DSA intake, right?
Even SST 'O' level route, out of over 1000 applicants every year, the school's intake is about 200 only.

So all parents should manage our own expectations. All our DC has done so well during these whole DSA process, showing positive attitude, resilient and courage! let's celebrate their growth in these DSA exercise :rahrah:
...hearsay that for CHIJ St Nicholas (IP) programme : those IP Teachers don't teach much. They gave out brief Lecture notes. Any St Nick IP (parent or student), can help verify this, is this True or False ?

Same case as what I heard about NJC. 😓

                  Fallacy
Am I right to say that ALL IP schools are the same - they don't really teach? This is why IP schools are seeking students for what they called \"Independent learner/Self-Learner/Fast-Learner\" etc..

ACSI offering 405 places for 2017 cohort. 48 places is 20% for Express whilst 82 places represents 50% of IP intake for next year sec 1. For S1 posting 192 places available for Express & 83 places for IP.
